Much as I'm looking forward to BB4, I do not intend to vote this time. IME, there were seemingly suspicious irregularities with the phonelines last time round.
Since the vote results are open to monitoring by Endemol as they come in, the possibility arises that they can interfere with the phonelines to shepherd the votes towards the result they want, if the voting trend is not going the way of their preferred HM. This sort of thing is more likely to occur in close eviction contests, because in such cases, small adjustments have maximum impact.
Clearly they can, and I believe they do, do this. And this is not sour grapes about Alex not winning, as I concede one can argue by the same token it may have worked the other way too in his favour eg. against Alison in wk 2. I'm also a huge fan of conspiracy theories....
Therefore my suggestion to make the voting process as above suspicion as possible,
would be to make it a "double-blind" process -- ie. Endemol should NOT be allowed to know the state of the voting as it happens.
That way they are not in a position of knowledge which allows the possibility to interfere. They should only be told the result for the first time after lines close, like the rest of us.
