EE: Any idea how long Stella will be around for?
I love her but i feel this storyline is going to be rushed and then Stella will get the usual "villian comeuppance"...
Hope she's in EE a while yet. She's great

Sophie Thompson's contract lasts a year I think - and she arrived in September/Octor - so I suppose she is onscreen for another eight to nine months?

She is so good at her character that she actually scares me, which is frightening for a 18 year old like me.

If they develop a storyline that she's mentally ill, gets help and Phil supports her, then she could be around for a long time yet...

all i can say is poor ben, the actress is brilliant, she plays very well, quite scary with them evil looks and comments., lets hope she gets caught out very quickly as i find it hard to see a child being terrifed and abused

As for how long she'll be around: She'll be gone by the end of the year. Characters like that have a limited shelf life. There's no way she'll be able to stick around once it comes out about her abusing Ben. |

Hasn't it been confirmed this will run until Christmas? if thats true it most likely will reach its head around the festive season. No doubt it will be violent. You know how EastEnders love a happy Xmas

It could be interesting to see the storyline develop into a study of mental illness and Phil supporting Stella - yet with Jean Slater joining the cast full time this area is already very well covered. I also remember hearing or reading somewhere that Sophie Thompson will only stay for a year - I also heard that Shirley becomes involved in the storyline at some point; this could be how her and Phil end up together.

If anyone on here suffers from a mental illness and reads that comment about kids being taken away from people, it could cause great upset and offence. It's a soap, but mental illness is REAL, and should be treated as such. If you'd open your eyes and stop being so ignorant and trying to come back on me with pathetic insults and out of order comments you might realise that. |
