The Brannings are pretty good - my fave being dot/jim/bradders when they are all together.

It can only be the Watts - the best ever soap family full stop.
Each and every member was a classic (with the exception of Vicki who was a Fowler technically anyway).
Den, Sharon, Chrissie, Angie, and even Dennis - all characters that had presence on screen.
When one looks at the current offering (when the best the show can field are the one-dimensional Mitchells) one realises how really great all the Watts were.

The Slaters for me. The original bunch of Zoe, Little Mo, Kat, Lynne, Charlie and Big Mo. Stacey and Jean aren't bad but not as good as the original Slater girls. As for Sean, the least said, the better.
They were brilliant but more in their first couple of years with Little Mo/Trevor, Kat being Zoe's mother and Ka/Alfie. I wish Lynne was given more storylines and there was more of the brilliant Belinda.

The only person right now who i like and is a briliant actor and character in the slater family is Sean

I just find him a great character with lots of potential.
The only real and proper bloke in the slater household, I know theres charlie, but he needs to relax and step down and let sean take over, like all these issues with stacy and max that will come up, they will sean to knock max out, lol
Yes Charlie is coming to an end of his reign over the Slater house. But is Sean a big enough man and family man to take over this position?
The slaters need someone like charlie who they can depend on and turn to for help and advice...is that really sean???

well charlie can do all the advice and help, sean can do all the ACTION, as he's already doing the adventure. then theres two decent men in the slater house hold.

so we both agree on something, great taste in families
I can see this Sean/Charlie conflict developing very interestingly. Charlie is not all that different from Sean in wanting to protect his girls (thats the thing they do have in common).
Stacey, Jean, and Sean all together has the makings for some truly amazing drama, classic Slater stuff. Jean and Stacey have arguably the most real and most emotional mother/daughter relationship in soap (certainly in EE).
