memmh and I had a discussion about this on another thread just now.

As Natalia has such a lot of experience and skill as a skater/dancer, we would like to see her back as a coach to the celebrities if she isn't back as a judge.

Not sure about the excuse about Jason (though he has been busy doing "Beating the Stylist" on This Morning this week. ) but I'm wondering if Natalia has been back and forth between Russia and the UK. Would make sense I guess?

That's a good idea, they could have Natalia help T&D coach instead of Karen, since Karen is also a judge. I think its a bad idea for Karen to be both.

Yeah, I feel so strongly about the way she's been treated that I've been talking about it on both threads.

I did think about that but they did follow Nicky to Poland so why can't they follow Natalia to Russia?

Karen's a really good coach tho' and if they took both the ladies off the judging panel, who could they bring in instead?

I wondering if Madison means that Karen stays on as a judge, and Natalia becomes the coach? Guess that would work.

Guess so, tho' I still think Karen's a really good coach. And she has such a strong relationship with T&D they might not want her to stop coaching. They could have Karen AND Natalia coach tho' I suppose.

Yes that's what i meant I just think it must be so tough on Karen being a judge especially when it comes to the skate off decision since she knows the skaters so well, so if Natalia wasn't a judge anymore i think it would be good if she replaced Karen as the coach and Karen stayed on the panel.

I'd like both of the lovely ladies back next year ... Karen is a definite, so let's keep our fingers crossed for Natalia too.

I wonder if they realise just how rude they've been to Natalia? Doubt TPTB would care but I wish there was some way we could tell them what we all think.

If you go through all the DOI threads, there's a lot of debate and disagreement on so many different subjects but not on this: everyone agrees that Natalia's been treated very badly.

I would suggest emailing/writing or even going on the ITV forums but to be honest, I don't think they would take much notice. ITV (like most television companies) have agendas and if they don't want Natalia back, they won't ask her.

You have rightly said, that the majority of people on DS who are on the DOI forums, are in agreement that Natalia has been badly treated, and that is so refreshing.

I think we'd all like both Karen and Natalia back and for Natalia to be treated well and utilised properly. Here's hoping ITV see sense, though somehow I doubt they will based on what's happened this year.

I have to agree with memmh that Karen is a great coach and has such a special bond with Jayne & Chris, and she seems to get on well with all the celebrities, but I also want Natalia back next series. With that in mind, I would sooner have Karen staying on the panel, with Natalia becoming the coach to the celebrities.

Every time she gets snubbed and ignored and interrupted and passed over, Natalia's always so gracious about it. ITV doesn't deserve her.

I emailed the ITV duty office just to say that i thought she had been treated very unfairly and they replied saying that my comments had been noted and that a copy of the email would be sent to senior management and production staff.

Karen and Jason are definates they were both in the Oz version as well as both UK series I do hope we see Natalia again ......... maybe Kres could come back and be on the panel so Karen could just coach ?

Nope shes Russias Jayne tho she said on extra she does answer the judges back if she thinks they're unfair

I think that if they get rid of Natalia then there should be a new judge, and as mad as it seems, someone who dosen't really know much about skating or dancing so that they can give artistic marks as well as technical marks

You know something else that annoys me about ITV's attitude?

On their DOI website they have info about each of the celebs but nothing at all about the pros who are skating with them. It's like ITV only cares about the big names - Jayne, Chris and the celebs.

BBC's SCD website gives info about both the celebs and their dancing partners. ITV should take a leaf out their book.

Thats what Jason is ......... also Robin skated alone not as a pair so he purely looks at skating skills whereas Karen & Nicky who used to be partners are actually the ice dancers on the panel along with Natalia

I'm not even sure they really care about T&D they see to put the min amount especially when it comes to the gallery pics sometimes there will be 4 for each celeb and one that isn't even all that good of T&D

Good on you. What's the email address? I'll do the same. The more people that email them to say that, the more likely it is they'll take notice.
