If you're going to look at it like that then I'm much more impressed with what Kay achieved than what Bonnie managed. Bonnie is a dancer and super fit, and because of that had a big advantage despite her age. She did do amazingly in the air, but only ever leaned enough skating to get from one lift to the next, and even then she just didn't look graceful on the ice.

I think all of them were great this evening, and any of them would have been worthy winners. I do think Clare pulled out everything this evening though.
I'm not sure if it is easier for the men or the women, both have different parts to play and different skills are required from each of them. Honestly though, it's something that I don't need to get hung up on. I'm aware of the fact that the girls are going to be able to manage more breathtaking lifts because their partner is a pro, and I'm able to take that into consideration when I decide which performance I prefer.
The male celebs have managed three different types of lift during the series:
Stationary Lifts – not a lot of skating skill required.
Straight line skating / large curve skating – need balance, but technically not impossible skating.
Two Foot Spins – more skill involved in the skating, but once they've mastered spinning on two feet not really that much harder.
... now I couldn't do any of those things, but I'm not really sure that you can say the actual skating involved is that hard in comparison to the other stuff that goes into the routines. The lifts look good because of the way the lift is achieved and that's down to the celebs strength and the pro's ability to look good in the air.
Yes I do admit that when the celeb's skating is poor it's easier for the girls to produce a good looking routine, but once they are past a certain skating ability both the male and female celebs routines are on a par even though the men technically spend more time in contact with the ice.
