I wouldnt be surprised if he does jack it in tbh.

He specifically said he wanted less showbiz BS this time round and got even more of it instead!

Sir Alan.... I'm.... not convinced.... that you could select....
the right apprentice for the job.... if you only had one to choose from.

It's with regret... that I have to say.... you're fired!

I'm sure I read somewhere he's signed up for another two series?

Yeap Martin that's true. It's Donald Trump who's quit the apprentice on stateside.

The Apprentice now has about as much credibility as Deal or No Deal.

He's in talks but nothing has been confirmed - the likelihood is that he'll be back next year anyway. The show itself is definitely back for at least two more series.

From what i have read, i think it seems likely that he will do another series, the bbc said that they have commisioned another 2 series, i would have thought that if they were still in talks with SAS, then they would have waited till it was agreed to announce, so they must be sure i would have thought.

Unless they are thinking, well we will always be able to get someone to do it, then announce it.

It wouldn't be the same without SAS but Apprentice is in a vicious circle - a job in Amstrad is a not a big attraction and that means that applicants are looking more for a BB like experience than a decent job.

A way of breaking the circle would be to have someone like Philip Green who has some decent companies that might attract better quality applicants.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this years winner - SAS seems damaged by Michelle Dewberry's departure which has affected his decision making all series. Her reason is the job wasn't realistic and he blames her for seeking a media career. Its much more likely imo that the 'media career' came after she had won the Apprentice rather than was a reason for her applying and was more attractive than the job he gave her.

SAS has to update his attitudes - he seems to think they owe him something but he needs to give the successful Apprentice a job that makes them want to stay. It will be interesting to see how Simon or Kristina fares.
