Am I the only one who was shocked at his departure? He was one of the best there.

He wasn't the worst, that's for sure. But I wasn't surprised at all.. he just didn't have a big enough fanbase.

Shame. He was one of my favourites!

He was voted out because he forgot his words. Pure and simple.

Yeah but so did the girl and she wasn't in the bottom 3.

Hayley has one more thing going for her. She's the last super cute woman in the competition. Like it or not, things like that influence the way people vote.

Brandon forgetting his words was definately used against him, but if he hadn't have forgotten the words, he'd still have probably gone, there's loads of factors in there to consider why he was voted off.

It is a shame, I agree. He seemed like a really nice guy. (Cute too...)

He had one of the most famous DR-songs. Done well, it is great. Done badly, it is really bad, so...

He got tucked up by the producers and of course his own error. He was put on first which is always a tough slot on a new show. They then stick Melinda after him, which was always going to blow him away.

He was unfortunate to forget his lines, but he got caned for it, the others got let off.......

And because he went first - the expectations were lowered by the end of the show when we saw how nervous some fo them were but you had nothing to compare him with at the time you saw him. The first and second singers are often in the hardest slots.

Also, he is a professional backing singer and therefore you couldn't forgive him for duffing up whereas you might for Jordin or Sanjaya who are so young.

I really liked him but I didn't expect him to win or anywhere near it, still it is disappointing.

Well IMO I believed Brandon was the cutest man out of the men..he has such a gorgeous smile.

Im not surprised he got voted out as he got panned by the judges and forgot the words but he took it really well and cam across as a really nice guy. I thought Sanjayi should have gone this week though imo.

It was definitely Brandon's worst performance, but his only really bad one.

HOWEVER - Sanjaya was even more dire and should have gone weeks ago. He's persistently crap every week.

I caught Brandon on the Regis and Kelly show this morning. I forgot that they will have former AI finalists performing all week. Brandon sang "Time After Time" with just a piano backing him. I just find him kind of blah as a singer, but he seems really nice.

Well, he sang first, he was out of tune and forgot his words so it's no wonder he didn't get many votes.

Nice guy, but he forgot to make an impact.

Not surprised at all. He was terrible last week.

He was also completely out of tune whereas Hayley sang well... in the parts she remembered that is.

I think he had a soulful voice, I really liked him.

And I agree Sanjaya should've gone! he really is dire.
