A week today the trial of Tracy Barlow gets under way.
Poor Deirdre knows the whole truth as the trial begins as Tracy reveals how she planned it all, how she tricked Claire and how she eventually knocked of Charlie.

Tracy decides to leave the street regardless of the outcome as she realises she has no support.
Steve is upset to learn he faces losing his daughter.
And the Friday after the Verdict is delivered "The Street is still reeling from the trial verdict."

So forget your hatred of Tracy, your love of Kate Fords acting ( ) and judge that if you didnt know what you do and you were on that jury-what your verdict be?????

Well, as I know that she did do it ... I would have to vote 'guilty'.

Judge as if you are hearing the evidence alone.

OK, given Clare's & David's evidence, and Charlie's violent history (why isn't Shelly giving a statement?) ... I would vote not-guilty.

I'd like to think that i would find her guilty -

Nobody saw charlie lay a finger on her

She has been known to lie in the past (amy's parentage)

Charlie's affair with maria was bound to have made tracy jealous

I believe in guilty-until-proven-innocent as far as TB is concerned.

You see thats my point-
the prosecution will need some strong evidence against Tracy for a guilty verdict as "they dont know what we know" they would, like yourself, go not-guilty!

I wonder what evidence they will throw up!

Oh and Shelleys absence is a bit silly indeed-has she given birth yet??

She has no money either! She's always lived in other peoples houses, sponging off other people. What she's supposed to use for finances to get a place and childcare for if she gets a job, will probably never be mentioned!

Having seen the spoiler details for next week, the prosecution make Claire out to be unreliable cos she never saw anything, just repeats Toxic's lies ... and she's a nutter anyway!
And Demon's made to look like he doesn't know what he's talking about.
At least the court case will be fun to watch.

Corrie can't do anything else but send her down. You always pay for your crimes in Corrie. Richard did, for his killing spree, Katy did for killing Tommy, so Toxic will for killing Charlie.
Besides, it's Emmerdale that leave murderers roaming free, not Corrie.

Besides, we've seen pics of her filming being locked up in the prison van. No photos have been released showing her walking free from jail as their 'alternative ending'.

these soaps go on about schedules and how tough it is to film so many episodes-why would they bother with two endings???
They probably film one-the prison van one-and pretend to have two.

So Emmerdale probably recorded one murder of tom king then asked the others to pose for some pictures to drum up publicity.

I read those spoilers too-david is ripped apart in court apparently. And like you said Claire doesnt prove to be worth much either. Toxic is in total panic as to what Deirdre will say but apart from a shaky performance Deirdre doesnt tell the truth. Whod have thought it. After all she went through unfairly Deirdre Barlow stands in court and lies to protect a murderer!

But why are some reports saying that Steve is devastated at the loss of Amy?

Doesn't that suggest that Tracy leaves the street with Amy?

well the report i read said when he learns tracy intends to leave if shes found not guilty he is devestated-it doesnt suggest the outcome. The only thing possibility giving a clue is the "the street residents is still reeling from the outcome" line which again doesnt give to much away as some with be angry if shes sent down and some will be angry if shes let of!

Shelleys baby would be due about early May.If she gave evidence though would only be that Charlie was mentally abusive,apart from pulling her earrings out that once he never physically attacked her.However Tracy has been physically violent to Shelley .

On the evidence given not withstanding what i know id have to hear David cross examined first and i also wonder whether Steve ought to be called as he knew Charlie wanted Tracy out.I'd probably find her guilty because if she was being held against her will she could have done a bunk when Charlie was in court,her family would have welcomed her and Amy with open arms.

Also Amy was upstairs when it happened ,if she'd been trying to get out Amy surely would have been by the door with her and Charlie wouldn't have been whacked sat on a sofa

Slightly off-topic but Shelley's baby stands to inherit a small fortune.

The proceeds from the sale of Charlie's business & home would be his or hers as they would be the next-of-kin.

But hasn't Charlie got a grown up son somewhere??

Wouldn't Holly get some of that money? Nice for Eileen not to have to struggle for once

I think the defence are going to be able to pull up some strong evidence.

If you look at the things people noticed when she 1st killed him - she put the knife in his left hand, he was right handed. The way she had cuts on her hands is not the way they would appear if he had tried to kill her. They can tell when a body has been moved etc etc

Don't soaps say that about every trial that comes up?

Won't have anything to do with Eileen, Emma will have Holly back by then. But as no one as mentioned who the house is being bought from, like no one mentions the business Jason seems to be running, Charlie's estate and who gets it will probably never be mentioned!

Was a will mentioned at any stage??
I do agree the way Jason has taken over the business is ridiculous...it just would not happen!

Trial of the Decade

To repeat myself for the upteenth time on this subject .. A soap actor on This Morning once said they only ever film one ending, no matter what the press office says.

There's just no time for more than one. They just take photos of scenarios that could happen. There's upteen examples. Fred and Bev's wedding is one. As we know, he died before he got to the church, but there was all sorts of talk about 'will they, won't they, get married' and two versions had been filmed.

On Rex Features (where we saw Toxic being filmed being put into a prison van) they showed them filming the church scenes, you saw all the characters, and Fred was nowhere to be seen. Yet they took photos - on another day obviously - of the two of them together outside the church - looking happy as if they'd just got marrried.
Rex Features pics are the real thing. I don't think the Corrie press office take that into account!

And you're right about Tom King. Only one person killed him, it's all they've filmed, they just took photos - and God, you could tell they were just photos! - of all the suspects holding a statue behind him about to hit him with it! They were so obviously photos rather than 'alternative filmed endings' it was laughable!

They once showed Peter marrying Shelley on a Corrie special. The filming at the church. And you actually saw them taking photos of Shelley and Lucy both hitting him, to depict the supposed 'alternative ending' they filmed, that was of Lucy seeing them at the church!

It's the prosecution who will do that, not the defence.

She's told to do that in court. Hold the knife. It's also proved she had no defensive wounds at all, apart from what she did to herself, no scratches, no bruises, nothing, which she would have if they were fighting and she killed him in self defence.
