Are the contestants who are announced as the bottom 3 really the bottom three every week in terms of votes?

Or do the producers mix it up to create a bit of drama?

As the results are never made public, guess we will never really know.

I know in Pop Idol 2, in the week Andy went, it was between him and Susanne, yet later revealed she was 4th in the voting that week.

That's what a lot of people are thinking too.

In some cases it's kinda like.. "Hmm.. that's quite ironic that it's those 3 in the bottom 3!" and it makes you wonder if it is slightly meddled.
I think the one leaving is genuinely the one who got the most votes though... but yeah dunno.

I'm not sure they'd dare treat the American public the same way they treat the British public - despite that the latter actually PAY to vote!

I thought they put in the bottom 2 plus one extra, who could have any amount of votes, but who they just feel like torturing
