unless their parents and the children were on faked documents - a lot easier in the 70s/80s with the mass immigration policies......OR the parents were illegals, kids were born here and got health cards etc - then they could get SSN's - but, technically they'd still be illegals....(using this rule in Canada to deport offenders back to Jamaica - even though they were born here - the kids have to be registered as permanent legal residents - even then they can still be deported for any criminal conviction). Just because you're 'born' somewhere doesn't give you an automatic right to citizenship. (Saudi being a prime example).
Big mess for the screenwriters though......interesting to see how they get round it, IF it's a real spoiler and not just speculation.
