That would make it Friday 23rd. I don't think the finale is set to air untill Friday 30th.

I hope they play the music video at the end like they did in Oz. Whats the betting that Five cut it though.

Yeah, the finale's not until Friday 30th, so we've got another week and a bit to go!

I hope they show the video at the end too. It'll be really annoying if they cut it out. It's a great video and makes the finale even more of a cliffhanger.

Five have cut lots from H & A before now though so I'm not getting my hopes up

Ye I liked the video at the end made it really look like the person was not coming back.

Five won't cut it because they won't GET it to cut. It was not part of the episode. It was played by Channel 7 in Australia the night it aired there. It won't be sent to other countries.

From the sounds of your post, you've already seen it. And if you haven't, about 200000 people have uploaded it to youtube. So no big deal.

What's the gap between seasons on Home and Away? I've only just got into it.

I still think Neighbours is better though. (Had to throw that in, sorry guys!)

We are currently about 11 weeks behind Australia when it comes to Home and Away. I think we're 9 weeks behind Australia when it comes to Neighbours. I prefer Home and Away to Neighbours.

So yeah, the season finale is next Friday, with the 2007 season beginning on Monday (or Friday at 6.30 if you have five life), at which point we will catch up by a further 6 weeks and will be approximately two months behind Australia.

By 2008 we should have caught up completely at which point Five will have to decide whether to a) Drop one episode per week, or b) take a 6 week break like Australia does.

In January 2008, we will be 5 weeks behind Oz. I imagine Five will drop Home and Away for 6 weeks during July and August 2008 (when people tend not to keep up because of our summer holidays), to keep the five week gap which is, logistically, about right.

Ive just seen that clip on youtube! One thing is you dont see the knife or indeed any blood or even understand what has been done to her. We know because weve been told but watching it looked like she had been punched.

oh i can't wait not sure when its airing over here in ireland its in the next week or two aswelll. well i know rte 2 what they did a few times was take a break during the summer for a few weeks so five will prob do the same its the best way cause people usually miss episodes durin the summer anyway..

When I saw the episode it was blatantly obvious to me, and thousands of other viewers, mainly because you hear the knife clatter to the ground when Rocco throws it away. Also, if said person had been punched, she would be coughing and whinging, not screaming in pain and sprawling over the ground losing consiousness.

Yes, and there is also the olympics in 2008, which if aired on 7 will mean there is an olympic break mid-year too (like there was in 2000 and 2004), meaning we could catch up even further that year.

I would rather Five had a 6 week break during summer, when ratings will be lower anyway, as opposed to dropping one episode per week. However, dropping an episode is the decision ITV took when they came across this problem in 1999.

Why dont five just insist they make 260 episodes a year? And why does it stop for six weeks in OZ anyway?

two reasons,
1. it is the height of summer so too hot to be filming .

2 its christmas so lots of cast end up here in panto (though this is probably a result of reason 1)
