I think Siralan would have been disappointed if Tim hadn't struck out for himself...I think he thinks he's a 'chip off the old block', in the Celebrity Apprentice I was quite touched with his fatherly concern!
I think it's fair enough he's leaving he's been there for 2 years I doubt sir Alan feels he's letting him down by leaving especially as he's setting up his own business helping other businesses.
How could you accuse Tim of being ingratitude towards Alan Sugar? He honoured his contract with him & has been an invaluable asset to Sugar's company. He's showing his own initiatives & branching out on his own which impresses Alan Sugar & gave his own blessing........so what's your problem?
You really should think first before starting threads with such misplaced underlying tones.

Not sure what the problem is, hes been there two years and is clearly an ambitious guy. Not unusual news really for someone to move on after a couple of years...
Tim couldn't remain an 'apprentice' all his life - he had renewed his contract after the 1st year, but at some time he has to strike out.
Good luck to him.
I don't see what the problem is. The same with Michelle. Michelle gets a lot of stick in the media because she quit, but who wouldn't if they were offered the jobs she was? She was getting £100,000 a year working for Sir Alan, but newspapers and reality shows were probably offering her double that.

Fair enough Chutney, but your title of "Thats Gratitude for you, Tim Quits!" obviously prompted people to defend Tim if people did indeed believe him to be ungrateful (as the title suggests)
I doubt michelle was offered double to do mags and tv. She's been in very few things and even if she was, she's supposed to be an intelligent woman.
Accepting money for gossip articles will have damaged her career in the long run. Surely longivity of accepting AMS job and how good it would look on her cv would have got her more in the long run.
But then again that would have entailed hard work. I'm dissapointed in Michelle personally, I wish she would have stuck at it rather than dilly dallied with Syed.

Indeed, and that is what an apprenticeship is - you work alongside someone to learn their trade and then go off and do it yourself.
They used to be more common, not just a prize in a Tv show!
Sir Alan has always sung Tim's praises and stressed what a valuable asset he was to the company. I'm sure he is proud, not disappointed that Tim has decided to branch out after two years.
By all accounts, Sir Alan has told Tim that if his new venture doesn't work, he can always have his old job back.
There was a clip on the radio this afternoon of Sir Alan talking about Tim, saying he had basically served his Apprenticeship and was moving on, which was pretty much what Sir Alan expected. He also said he wished him well and would be happy to work with him/help him all he could.
