Again ...sorry for last night.

I'm not playing with Dial Idol results this week....why?...I'm bored of it!! <plus I didn't get to watch live >

Like always we have our usual opening!!

Ryan now recaps the show..for once i'm grateful!! lol

Oh lord Peter Noone is Singing!! - who is he?
If he's planning on releasing this here...please let me know!!?
The Idols are standing, but....well Paula isn't standing, so that tells me!, everything!!

Commercial

YAY!! well thank god I didn't miss this!! OUR WEEKLY FORD COMMERCIAL!! ' It's Saturday Night

Brad Garrett is sitting amongt the idols...It just so happens his show as been shifted to the pimp spot after AI results show

RESULTS

The first person to leave tonight is....Brad..

Polling the bottom 3....When I call your name please stand...

Phil, Melinda, Blake - ALL SAFE

Chris S, Lakisha, Jordin - ALL SAFE

Sanjaya, Gina, Haley - ALL SAFE

Chris R and Stephanie - YOU ARE THE BOTTOM 2!!

OK...IM IN FLAMIN' SHOCK!! Despite Sanjaya not being in the bottom 2, I'm still hoping he was bottom 3!!!

I'm so pissed right now....

Commercial

Ryan is back and spewing his normal crap...get on with it!!

woo hoo...Lulu has take to the stage!! From Sir with Love!! I'm not that old, but I LOVE HER!! (and I love the movie!!)

LOVE THIS LOVE THIS!! Fantastic!!

Commercial

Stephanie and Chris R on stage...

Stephanie - YOU ARE LEAVING US
Chris R - YOU ARE STAYING

Well, we get our Steph montage, to the Daughtry's Home. My namesake has gone.

I am so annoyed right now with these results. How dare Sanjaya be part of the Idol tour. I'm fuming. Although I picked her in the bottom 3, she didn't deserve to leave.

At a glance...I can't even be bothered. America YOU GOT IT WRONG!!! I'm ashamed

I'll catch you next week.

Enjoy Steph

Peter Noone was lead singer of Herman's Hermits way back in the 60's. What was he singing?

He sang "There's a Kind of Hush."

Steph--- he performs ALL over the place. I took my daughter to see him a few years ago and she emailed him and he wrote back! Very nice guy.

I didn't like Chris R. in the bottom two tonight. I figured Phil, Gina, Haley or Sanjaya would be there. I'm starting to wonder if the producers are fudging the bottom two or three results, besides the actual person going home. It seems as though Simon has wanted Stephanie gone for a few weeks, so he finally got his wish.

Those Ford commercials are always funny and much better than the group songs. I've downloaded the studio recordings from this week's performances, and they are really good. Can't wait for next week...

I hadn't seen him since the 1960s, I don't think I've ever seen him in colour!

I thought Lulu was fantastic tonight, was amazed she could hit those big top notes at the end and she looked fantastic singing a number she performed nigh on 40 years ago. I'm positively middle-aged yet she was already a recording artist before I had my first day at school.

She's one of the few people tinier than Ryan Seacrest. I got stuck in the immigration line with her at JFK New York in February and spent 60 minutes in conversation with her, she was travelling alone, going to Connecticut. She never mentioned she was doing American Idol or indeed anything about her career. I asked her why she hadn't got VIP fast-track through the immigration queue and she said if it was offered she accepted it but she didn't ask for things like that. She was incredibly down to earth, not the least starry, looks about 42 close up. I think being so petite makes her look younger.

I had a feeling Stephanie would go, and I'm kind of glad. She's isn't unique enough and was getting outsung night after night.

Thanks for posting Steph!

Dashed - so Sanjaya lives to fight another day! Do you know when I was a kid I used to have a crush on Peter Noone Now that's really showing my age! Thanks for the post Steph, keep up the good work

Not surprised to see Stephanie go. She seemed a likely contender to be overlooked, despite probably being one of the better singers.

Upset that Chris R was bottom two! And surprised he's not getting more of the girly vote.

Can't believe that not only is Sanjaya still there, but he wasn't even bottom two!

What a strange result.

Maybe Sanjayas romance with Jordin is keeping him in

Yeah I guess she got "lost in the mix" because she wasn't as good as the other divas

Well, not too surprised.

Stephanie was really good in the beginning, but she was not good last night.

Not really too sad to see her leave...

I think Stephanie's problem was that she just couldn't compete with the other gals with the big voices - people voted for the others instead. While I like her, I don't think she really was that different, and that's what hurt her.

I'm pretty sure Peter was miming. There was just something really strange about his performance - his voice sounded processed, and it didn't feel like he was really singing.

Lulu, by comparison was in a different league. She belted that song and I think the show introduced her to an audience who really didn't know her before this. A great performance!

shame because stephanie had great potential, she was very good on the top 24 shows, maybe simon wnated her gone and people do listen to him slightly

Terrible results. It is shocking that Sanjaya, Chris Sligh and Haley have beaten such an amazing singer as Stephanie.

Personality can be worked on, but if you don't have the voice...Stephanie should have stayed.

I am not sure... we live on the east coast and get the show live. Sometimes the sound mixes are not very good and I think get improved by the time the show airs on the west coast. During Peter's performance, there were some weird noises -- like maybe the electronic keyboard was too loud in places. If it was "fixed", the result might have made him sound processed.

I agree. I'm very, very surprised she's gone. She's way better than a few of the others and she always looks great. What a shame.

I`m still cringing with embarrassment that Peter Noone represented British music. I`d never even heard of the guy. Are we really so berefit of musical talent over here that they choose some virtual unknown to represent us?! Jeez.

And through it all, I see Sanjaya lives to....er.....sing....another day.

The problem was always going to be that the R&B/diva vote had to split so many ways. There were four of them competing for the same voting bloc, so I'm not really surprised it was her. That said, I seldom remember her performances, which doesn't help.

I don't believe it was a reflection of her talent at all. She just made less of an impression than the other three.

You know that's just wrong on so many levels!!!

This result is all over the tv here...It's even a story on CNN & MSNBC.
Good Morning America ran a story this morning about Simon 'going' balistic last night following the result...AI isn't commenting.

Like I have said, I had Stephanie in the bottom 3, but please she lost out on a spot in the Top 10 and going on the tour at the expense of Sanjaya? You really think she deserved that?

You know what is weird, I can see the crowds booing him this summer. It happened with Scott...

I'm still fuming over the result...<goes looking for valium>
