Poor little Ben. He's gonna be suicidal by the time she's finished!

Aww poor Ben.
![]() The only thing about this storyline that I don't understand is, Ben accepted Stella, so why's she acting all psycho?

Because she wants to replace him as the #1 person in Phil's life.

Which Isle? Isle of Man, Isle of Wight or just the Isle of Dogs?

Did Stella always have this as a motive - To replace Ben in Phil's life? Whether he was nice to her or not. Because i can understand her wanting revenage on Ben for his actions in the earlier stages of their relationship. But even though he has accepted her she stills seems intent on making sure he suffers.

Yes i do believe that she always had the view to being number 1-but even then i dnt think she will be happy. I think she has suffered at some point in her life-maybe with husband or her own parents-but i think she wants to be the only person in phils life. She needed ben to be her friend before abusing him-now she can manipulate him because he finally accepted her.... Who knows maybe she will try and get rid of peggy and ben??

I think she wants to be Ben's mother, especially when seeing her hatred rise, when Ben was making the Mother's Day card for Kathy.
I suppose she can't have children? |

It can't be anything to do with her wanting to be the only person in Phil's life - the tug/push thing with Ben doesn't tally with her being simply possessive. And she's completely normal to Peggy, which also doesn't follow.
I read somewhere that there is a reason for her being a psychosis (as much as there can ever be a 'reason' for child abuse) - and this will be revealed at some point. My guess is that she was abused as a child herself or was maybe severely bullied. It's always about the childhood trauma, isn't it? |

In real life would anyone marry someone they know nothing about?
I believe in falling in love with someone almost at first sight, but you do then get to know their background, meet their family etc. All we and Phil know is that when he met Stella she had just got a divorce, we don`t even know how long she was married. |

I wish Stella would just fall down a hole and die...fortunately characters like hers are only in it for one storyline then they go.

You really don't like Stella do you? No one is condoning her behaviour people like her as a character because she was exactly what the show needed. She has brought so much life back into it after such a long time of not having anything big running. You also may want to scream when I tell you this but Sophie is on contract until at least December 2007 so that means on screen until at least March 2008. Another year yet! she may however get sent to prison or something during that time and only appear if the storyline needs it like Trevor did for his final few months. |

I do not see how they can sustain this till next year at all. The only way it would work is if Phil finds out soon and the story takes another turn. Now Phil abuse I am more than willing to watch. Phil getting himself a bunny boiler would have me glued to my screen.

That would be an interesting twist.
To see Phil Mitchell of all people getting broken down and controlled by a woman would be great. When Stella has control of Phil and Ben she can turn them against eachother-send Ben off to boarding school-or Ians-and rule Phils life....only Peggy can stand in her way! |
