After deciding I wish to change to a contract phone and finally finding the phone I would like to buy (Samsung D900), I am now stuck on where I should buy it. I have checked out the major sites but am now left confused on what the best deal is and equally who the best network is to go with. I am looking to spend roughly £15-25 p/m and wish to receive the best deal in terms of texts/minutes possible (not interested in free gimics).
On reccomendation I checked out the Carphone Warehouse, and was happy to find what seemed to be a fantastic deal. For £17.50 (for 16 months and two months at £35), I could get the phone and 500 texts/600 minutes. Great I thought, until I saw how you went about getting the deal (cheque back). Now without any experience of this, I am just going on gut feeling but it feels to be like a conn. Perhaps someone can shine some light on it? If I follow the terms and send it off when requested, will I face any problems? Or should I follow my gut and leave well alone?
After deciding perhaps the above was not the best deal, I checked the other major provider websites. O2, my current company, have no Samsung d900 in black and the tarrifs seem to offer very little. T-Mobile seems to be the best; with a Flext plan I can get everything I wish and again I nearly hit the buy button. However upon telling a friend I got a funny look and told T-mobile offered poor coverage (the truth in this I again don't know). Finally I looked at Vodaphone, again they offered a better deal (it appeared) than O2/Orange but for £27.50 for 12 months (and 6 months on a half price fee), it again seemed rather expensive in comparison to CPW/T-Mobile.
So to end what is already getting too long a post, I wondered if the experts/experienced members of the community can give me some advice. Where is the best place to get this paticular phone? Should I wait and hope another form of deal arises? Or is there a place I have overlooked and may offer me a good deal?
Your help is much apprechiated!
