Child Lock on and no remote control! HELP!!!
Hi, I got a second hand evesham tv from ebay and it was great, it came with no remote control though. I accidently enabled the child lock and now I cant use it at all.
I have a universal remote but there is no 3 digit code for an evesham, does any one know of any code that can work with an evesham? I turned the TV off and on at the mains but it still dose not work, is there a battery I can take out somewhere? Thank so much, Adam

oneforall should have a code for it guessing thats the universal remote you have. Also helps if you know tv model number as well.

I wouldn't expect an obscure brand like Evesham to be listed?, try ringing Evesham and asking them what set it actually is, or at least for a One For All code for it.
Failing that try the cheap set codes, Vestel, Bush, Beko, Orion, Matsui, Goodmans etc. Worth trying Philips as well, as lots of sets use the Philips chip sets. |

Thanks everyone for the replys, I found out the TV is in fact a tatung p42hsmt - evesham just brand it as there own.
I tried all the philips codes but none worked. Now I know the TVs real name I think it will be easier hunting down the right code. Thanks, Adam Last edited by Adaw : 22-03-2007 at 20:39. |

These are Tatung codes for a Sky remote:065,100,544,300,277,245,272,077,039 103
They may work. Have you emailed the Evesham Ebay email address for help. ebay@evesham.com |

Thanks for your help everyone,
I found out how to reprogramme for sky remote and tryed loads of codes but none worked ![]() I may have to resort to removing the back and looking for a battery to remove which would (I hope) clear its memory. Thanks, Adam |

May i suggest you try and find or puchase a r.c. because u are very unlikely to find a memory battery inside, and it will probably be soldered in if it has one or more likely uses non volatile memory

If you've got a One For All remote, they guarantee to work on anything. I've got personal experience of this. If you email them and tell them exactly what you need, they'll send back codes for each individual command if necessary. (It might take them a few days.)
