I'm male and got my ZVM for my 40th birthday a few months ago. When i was younger i couldn't have afforded one even if the technology had been developed.

I'm 42, male and own a Zen M. I'm on my 3rd Creative Player. I got my first about 3 years ago. I sold my first two on eBay.

i no what your saying bannockburn, about not being able to afford these things. Its only recently with the kids grown up that i can afford to buy the odd techno item.

I am a 36yr old mum of one with a Zen Vision M and I wouldn't be without it. Mine is crammed full of my entire CD collection, family photos, videos and podcasts.

I am the gadget geek of the family, my other half hasn't got the foggiest how to use an Mp3 player despite countless attempts from me to convince him that they don't bite!

Anyway I probably don't fit the demographic of the typical user but who cares...I love it!

Does it do anything else? I dont use WMP11, so if it doesnt do anything else I might just leave it.

Anyone got a link to pictures of the rumoured new slimline Zen Vision M? I cant find any info anywhere on it.

I downloaded the video for Kasabians shoot the runner, but when I try to transfer it to my ZVM it says it exceeds playback capacity and is unable to convert it.

It is in MPEG format; has anyone else had any problems with this?

BTW I'm 20 and female

As Christocar...

it is an amazing piece of kit. The picture quality is amazing for sch a tiny screen and the sound is great as well. A pain to set up on my pc, but worth it.

ok I have a silly question, I was wondering whether you can see the album artwork when selecting the album you wish to listen to?

I ask because when you go to albums and press the bottom right hand button it has a nunch of options and one of them says "Switch View" and when you switch it it brings up a bunch of squares with cd's and music note in the middle for each album and it gives the impression that they can be pictures.

Does anybody know how to make them into pictures of the album artwork covers when selecting the album you wish to listen to? I dont even know if this is making sense heehee.

Thanks..

I think what you are asking basically is album art viewable on the Zen?

The answer is yes, but its a bit fiddly to do.

Originally, I used iTunes to edit the tags of the albums and attach the correct album art. However when I then used Creative Media source to transfer the files, the album art did not show up on the player.

So what you need to do is update Creative Mediasource to the latest version from the creative website. Or if you open up Mediasource, under the "help" tab there is a software update thing. Then you basically have to re-tag the albums with the album art, and re-transfer them to your player.

What I did was delete the albums off my player, because I still had them on the computer.

Then you drop the albums you want the art for into the PC music library in Mediasource. Then you highlight all the tracks in an album, and right click and select "Edit Track Properties". Then under the "Tag information" tab down at the bottom is the album art thing. Hit "browse" find the jpeg, double click it, and it will update all the files with the art.

Then once you have re-transferred the files it should work.

Kind of annoying that it didnt work with the original Mediasource as it should have, but now I have re-transferred most of my albums it works nicely. I like having the album cover while the album is playing...

Ok I just re-read your post, and have seen I totally went down the wrong track. You wanted to know if you could view the album art whilst selecting...

I will leave my post there anyway for those people that want to know how to make the album art thing work, cause I had loads of problems getting it to work.

Hi Guys,

I have a problem installing my Zen onto my computer. When I plug my USB into my computer, it comes up Found New Hardware and it tries to install the hardware MTP Device . The problem is it can't find the hardware.

The required section was not found in the INF

I have put in the installation CD and tried to find it from there but no joy

Please can you give me a solution to this problem.

What OP system are you using? If it's Vista I have no idea how to fix it.
If it's XP, unistall the software, reboot and start again. But download some of the patch fixes from the Creative site. They tend to fix niggly problems.

I'm thinking of getting a ZVM so here's a question for you.

If I use to Artist menu to select a particular band will it then display all the albums I have by that group or all the tracks by that group?

Thanks

Albums. But from there you can select all tracks by that particular artist.
