Friday, 23 March, 7.30 - 8pm

Ken (Wiliam Roache) is trying to keep a lid on the tensions at the Barlows but Blanche (Maggie Jones) knows something is going on and is angry with Tracy (Kate Ford) for making her mum ill. Meanwhile Tracy has still got the bit between her teeth about Peter (Chris Gascoyne) seeing Maria (Samia Smith) and gets drunk at Steve's (Simon Gregson) whilst regailing him with her tale of woe. Little
does she know that by the end of the day she will have much more to worry about as Ken is busy persuading Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) not to take the stand!

Leanne (Jane Danson) and Janice (Vicky Entwistle) are still at loggerheads and Leanne is fuirous when her mobile phone goes missing. She knows Janice has taken it to try to stop her working but the pair make ammends and agree to disagree. Janice knows she can't stop Leanne doing what she wants but makes her prmoise to let her now where she is at all times so she can at least keep an eye on her.

Doreen (Barbara Young) arrives at Rita's (Barbara Knox) with her wordly belongings and a bottle of Vodka! Norris (Malcolm Hebdon) is less than impressed with the amount of stuff she has brought to the flat.

Meanwhile bored Kayleigh Morton (Jessica Barden) finds herself at a loose end and Grandad seizes the opportunity to teach her a thing or two about some of the scanmes he has pulled over the years. Who will be her fist victim?

This episode is written by Jan McVerry, produced by Steve Frost and directed by Tim O'Mara.

This episode showed Tracy is pure evil (not that we didn't know that before!). Talk about Deirdre giving a performance!

Liked the Morton stuff-some light hearted scams for a Friday night The Mortons seem to be fitting in better now and I am liking them!

Overall...6/10

Sinbad and his Kegs I was worried the new family would jar compared to the longer established characters, but with Jerry playing a similar role of lovable rogue, they already feel quite familiar and have eased in fairly well.

An ok-ish episode tonight.

Anyone else notice that handbasin wobbling constantly when Maria was dealing with her "client"?? It moved so much I thought it was going to come off the wall.

Norris / Reet / Doreen stuff was reasonable enough, but nothing special.

Casey was very nice to Claire & it was good of her to offer to come to court so that she'd have someone to address her evidence to. Liked the opening scene too, with Claire & Gail as Gail told Claire about Jerr's selective deafness about music & Claire asked him whether he wanted a custad cream.

Rest of the Morton stuff was dull as ditchwater. There doesn't seem to be anything special about this family at the moment that engages the interest & the more I see of Wilf the less I like him.

Jane Danson was on good form as Leanne. Liked her raging down the phone at Janice & then her apology outside of Underworld. She soon gave in on the 'list' demand that Janice had though.

Deirdre got all the best stuff of the episode, especially the "you're freaking me" out thing which was the line of the episode.
KF was passable at best. She had a good line about the cigarettes but it would have been delivered much better by someone who's a halfway decent actress.

6 out of 10.

I think the Mortons are ok, the problem is there are 4 kids and none of them really have anything about them. I like Jerry and Grandad is great, I can only think no one who likes him on here hasn't seen Early Doors?

Sinbad/Jerry seems to be quite a law-abiding rogue, though! He's told his daughter and dad off for conning Dev out of £15. However, only because it took place on their own doorstep, apparently lol

Paper Moon, Oscar winning film with Tatum O'Neal and her dad, they did EXACTLY the same scam 30 odd years ago.

ok episode i thought-
Is it just me or can anyone else not hack devs voice! It really annoys me! He overacts everything!

That basin was very close to crashing to the ground as maria washed that ladies hair-its so stupid stuff like that does just not happen in real life with peter walking in having that sortta conversation. really stupid imo.

I enjoyed traceyluv tonight-her scenes with steve, peter and at the end were great-watching her show her true colours to deirdre will be fantastic on sunday. Does anyone think Corrie scriptwriters are taking the p*ss outta kate ford-first claire peacock calls tracy a great actress and tonight tracy spoke of deirdre winning an oscar!

I must admit i laughed at the Mortons little trick! But that eldest son is so annoying-he makes the weirdest facial expressions and no offence to him but again he mumbles and i cant understand him!

Anyway CANT WAIT till sunday night now!

A ********* free episode and all the better for it

I really loath Tracey flipping Barlow and I am getting to the point where I may not be able to type her name.

I DEMAND LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR HER

Claire, on the other hand, continues to be such a lovely person

I was thinking the same. After liking them at first I don't think they fit in on Corrie. Like you say they would be far more suited to EE or Brookie. I understand Corrie wanted a ''right here right now'' family but this lot are not for Corrie shame too as I like Sinbad.
