Not surprised Steph went

Steph was a bit wobbly tonight and there are too many good female vocalists for her to survive this.

i dont think she was the worse tho

I agree with you entirely.

Tremblato (is that a word)? like Mariah Carey - who I blame for a lot of copyists.

The fashion has ruined singing in my opinion.

she was too easy to forget

either that or maybe all the viewers switched over during the ad break between hayley and chris/steph thus missing the next two singers and then forgetting to vote...

does that make sense??

Hayley on - lots of viewers
Adverts - people channel hop, something good on get distracted
Switch back to AI to see stephanie leave the stage - oh well cant vote for them two then..

just an idea

^ Exactly. She just didn't stand out at all. Not with her personality or her singing. And so the result = bye-bye.

I'm not surprised either. She started off singing so well, but seemed to get worse with each show. Maybe it was the nerves, or maybe it was just the song choices. But after she sung, my husband and I both said she would probably be the one to go.

i wasn't surprised she went, i felt last week she was treading on thin ice. For me it was all downhill from the first live show when she was good. Every other week she's been forgettable and last week felt painful - very shrieky and then last night a very dull performance.

I didn't think Stephanie was the worst this week (I reserved that place for Phil) so I surprised that she left. Shame, she was a talented contestant.

wasnt surprised to see her go as she was shaky and the song just seemed to much for her, i was disappointed to see her go when sanjaya is still in there!

She was a casualty of themed nights. 'British Invasion' was just not her. She chose the wrong song. When she was choosing her own (non-themed) songs, she was very good.

Ah, the 'big voiced Diva' field is too crowded and her vote was 'squeezed'.

I was surprised to hear she'd gone but, having seen her performance, am not so surprised now. Still think she's way better than a few who are left but she hasn't been doing herself any favours recently and that was a poor song choice.

She was too variable - needed more polish

Stephanie was not the worst, but she was definitely the weakest female this week - it was a pity, she just chose the wrong song. (And those boots - eek!!)

The more I hear these girls (and girls during the auditions too), the more I think that Mariah Carey should be horribly executed for musical treason. Girls with good voices try to emulate her so much that they sound like they're suffering from a kind of musical Tourette's. The ghastly Carey staccato vibrating gulp is just plain ugly, and has ruined so many performances in this show, e.g. Sabrina. (Even the boys suffer from it - Chris Richardson just couldn't resist a couple of Carey gulps, and ended up in the bottom two! You don't NEED it, kids!)

She was up against Sanjay, so in my opinion I could have suffered her another week...!
