Sorry if I missed an earlier thread about this, but is anyone else fed up to the back teeth of ridiculous storylines like this one? It's only rumour of course, but I find it quite astounding.

Thanks... I assume a mod will merge the posts.

It might be interesting if T and B faked an affair, I think its more likely, and would fix Stacey and Max! I agree with you that it's probably all nonsense. Just wanted to make sure.

Ah, but what a fabulous twist that would be maybe you just see a tuft of ginger hair, and assume its Sean, for Max to wrench back the duvet and see Bradley!

Why don't they just hold a huge key party in the Vic? They must have done so already, I think, considering all the bed hopping that's gone on...

Sounds awful. This storyline is making me hate Max & Bradley, which is horrible because I really don't want to, but those Brannings are ruining the character of Stacey.

If this happens then this will just add coal onto the already fire thats burning with the heading EASTENDERS over it

EastEnders is getting worse at the moment, it's storylines are dragging and are becoming more unrealistic by the month - no wonder viewers are deserting it.

It can't deal with 4 days a week - it's current way of dealing with it is to drag out already stretched storylines, and adding bits to them that go beyond reality to the point where nobody no londer cares.

EastEnders has lost its normality - no longer would you see scenes that refect everyday life - EVERY scene has to be based on a current big (boring) plot - for example boring as it may sound, I would have liked to see more of Ian's dealing in getting the stall back, how he did it and his plans for it - Id have like to have seen more of Peggy sorting out her new decor, could have been funny - I'd like to see people talking in the vic & the hairdressers about normal everyday things non plot related, like they used to - all fitted around the boredom of the Rob/Dawn/May - Stacey/max etc.

Look at EastEnders when it was getting its 15+ million viewers, look at the characters and how they interacted with one another around the plots - where are your Arthur's, your Pauline's, Pete's...

EastEnders needs a good shake up - viewing figures have already slipped from 15 million to 9 million in just 10 years - where will this programme be in another 10 years....

I'm sorry but I entirely disagree with that post. The only actual thing you posted that was true was the viewing figures, however, a constant 9million is a decent and well respected rating for this day and age - where you can download episodes, watch them online, watch them on things such as Teleport Replay, omnibuses and repeats on other channels.

*all* Soap ratings have gone down - maybe EastEnders isn't as consistant in ratings at the moment as say, Coronation Street - but why people keep slagging it off for 9million viewers and constantly compare it to Emmerdale which beats it only when it has a head start is beyond me.

If you've bothered to watch the episodes as of late - you'd have noticed they are not what you've said anymore. The standard and quality of EastEnders is rapidly improving. Infact, they've even started adding comedic moments into it!

The show is no longer run by the storylines, its ran but the characters. A massive improvement where they actually put characters in situations so you get to know them, interact with them. There's not only the: "so and so is pregnant, person is sleeping with this person, x is having money problems"

It's now revolving around real life issues in a much deeper and better way than as of late (such as the dreadful Down Syndromes storyline) - The Child Abuse storyline is some of the best acting I have seen off EastEnders for a long time and I dare say the new EP is doing wonders for the show.
