Surprised this hasn't been mentioned on here (unless I've missed it). So thoughts, predictions?

I won't link to the site, but there's a voting page on The Sun website, or in its TV mag if you want. I think I voted for:

Sexiest Female: Louise Appleton (Emmerdale)
Sexiest Male: Cain Dingle (Emmerdale)
Best Actress: Audrey Roberts (Corrie)
Best Actor: Richard Hillman, but ONLY because that category was quite weak anyway, although he was rather good of course.
Best Villain: Ray Mullen (Emmerdale) (for the simple fact that Richard is bound to win, and I think Ray deserves a mention For a start, if that Louise/Ray story had been on Corrie or Eastenders, the press would've been all over it and ratings through the roof)

There are other categories of course chosen by an "expert panel" Corrie should clean up I'd imagine...

i think eastenders should and probally will win best soap, cos it is best soap OVER THE LAST YEAR and corrie has been good only when the richard hillman thing has been happening

I'm surprise Emily Symons (Louise Appleton) has been noiminated! I think Sheree Murphy (Tricia Dingle) should win it- she' hot! :yawn:

Can't say much for sexiest male, but TomL is right- he's an ugly freak!

I'm surprised that tart Jessie Wallace won it last year! (Kat Slater) Well, I suppose stranger things could happen! lol!

Oh come OFF it, Cain is NOT ugly...neither is Emily Symons who is probably the best looking woman in a soap right now. And to think SHE used to play Marilyn...she gets better with age.

And Eastenders might have been better in the last year (although I personally disagree), but recent months will be fresh in people's minds so Corrie will probably get it, imo. Plus Eastenders has been abysmal for most of this year...

Jeff who plays Cain Dingle is lovely. A nice bit a rough yet good looking at the same time.

Ally Ross in todays NOTW perfectly sums up the crapness that has been Eastenders over the last 12 months.
Crossroads is a more deserving case for best soap.

Oh how attitudes change...this time last year everyone was saying (not necessarily on here!) that EE was great and Corrie was awful

IMHO, EE has bouts of rubbish storylines....whereas Corrie has bouts of good ones!

They timed the Hillman storyline well...
