Recently got a 6280 from 3 and all seems well but noticed that when I turn off my phone at night, when I turn it back on in a morning,I have to keep re-setting the date and time.

Does anyone know why cos it's getting a bit irritating now?

Really? On my 6280 I don't even need to reset the date and time even if I take the battery off it remembers it. Maybe you have a dodgy phone. Mine isb't on 3 I bought it SIM free.

Looks like a software fault. It normally only does this if you remove thesim from the phone

should I ring them up or what?

Or re-insert the sim and make sure its in correctly?

Also,if the power is on and I take out the memory card, when I put it back in,the phone has reset itself.
My themes, ringtones etc are not as I left them and I have to set it back up.

There is sometimes a section in the phone to select an option to remove memory card as sometimes just removing it can (but usually doesn't ) damage the contents of the card. Check the sim card is seated properly, but it sounds like software problems to me

I've got 3 firmware on this and do not have this issue. The phone's really buggy though, especially on early versions. It's worth a call to 3 to see if the firmware can be upgraded if that's what's causing it - there's a key combination to find out what verison you're on, might be worth a Google to find it and check if it is up to date.

It doesn't even do it then Ive swapped between O2 and T-Mobile a few times and never had to re enter the time and date.

.
Thats because if your ringtone, wallpaper etc you are using is stored on the mem card and you take the card out then there's nothing for the phone to read.

But when you put the memory card back in shouldn't it reload your profile.

No why would it? It's not a smart phone after all.
