Scart switchers & associated snags
My new Philips LCD TV has 2 scart sockets, I assumed EXT 1 supported RGB & EXT 2 did not so I bought a switcher from Maplins to put both my Humax box & Toshiba DVD through the aforementioned EXT 1. I was greeted with a blue tinted picture via both devices when I connected it up so after struggling with it for a while I put the Digibox back in EXT 1 & the DVD player in EXT 2, which seems to suit them both. I have tested the switcher on my portable TV/Digibox & get a perfect picture. Am I missing something here...?

Why assume the type of inputs the scart can accept.
Consult the user manual of your new LCD and the specs should tell you. |

User's guide not much help. Website says EXT 1 CVBS in/out RGB, EXT 2 CVBS in/out RGB out S-Video in. Connected DVD player via HDMI plus scart for 4:3 ratio discs (I am a fan of Classic Cult TV)
But why was everything tinted blue through the scart splitter? |

Are you sure the scart splitter is RGB-compatible?

If it's only those two you've got then daisy-chaining is the answer surely?
DVDR AV1 -> Hummy AV2 Hummy AV1 ->TV AV1 or Hummy AV1 -> DVDR AV2 DVDR AV1 -> TV AV1 |
