Working for orange....I use one every other day and if am honest they ain't nowt special. Get a symbian based nokia phone and you don't have the worries of security problems etc.

Orange are making it hard for me to retrieve my line2. I have a line2 burried in my company mobile. Ive had that line before I worked for my company and it had its own handset. Now i want to retrieve that number and use it on a new handset but I dont know where to start! Also, I want a good tariff designed primarily for texting. A good texting handset is what I need. The m700 looked good for that. But £30 a month paybe a little high. The more I look into this the more confusing it gets! Tc |

It's either this or a Nokia N95, which I have heard bad things about- buggy software, lockups etc. |

The Nokia range of E series smart phones and Blackberrys support what is called push email.....just think of it like recieving a text message.....it automatically gets sent to the handset. That said with orange you need to setup the blackberry enterprise server (or internet bundle). I don't really see the point of this push emailing, unless email is a key part of your communication, I suggest making do with say a symbian based phone and retrieve the email yourself and thereby you can keep a cap on data charges. That said those on T-Mobile obviously don't have to worry about that with the web n walk. Quote:
I really fancy one of these, what security problems are you referring to? M700 is a windows mobile based phone, whilst it is an excellent peice of software with functionality, like it's big brother (XP etc) it suffers from security issues. Symbian however is derived from unix/linux I think. That said though it is far more robust.....It's either this or a Nokia N95, which I have heard bad things about- buggy software, lockups etc. But seeing as you mentioned the N95 I would avoid it like the plague, had 4 returns in the past week, people finding problems with the handset. I'd suggest going for the E65 does everything the N95 does bar the fact of the 5MPX Cam and in built GPS. The E65 is a far more robustly built phone, feels and looks nice as well. |
