The two girls were so sure the house belonged to Brendan Cole.
Even worse was Nancy Sorrell giving a big hint that she's like to do SCD.

So what's Anton's house like inside & out? Is it tastefully done or tacky?

Think I should have pressed 'record' on the video, because I'm relying on my memory here.
Didn't show you the outside, and I should have said apartment rather than house.
He lives in a converted warehouse which used to store spices, so as with most of these conversions quite trendy, light and airy. Darkish-tan coloured leather sofa, wooden floors.
Lots of golfing magazines on the coffee table.
There was a comment about the Padstow cookery school, and he's he's got three other cook books - I think called 'How to cook'.
His fridge contained salami, packet of something else, more salami, champagne, and wine.
CDs include Shirley Bassey, Lesley Garrett, Pavarotti, and one called Tango something.
Showed you a rail containing suits including a ballroom tail suit, and shiny ballroom shoes as further clues. And a golf bag into which Lisa (Snowden?) put a couple of golf balls, saying 'there's plenty of ball room in there'.
Got to start sorting out a meal for the mob but will post more later about what Anton said during the 'interview'.

I knew they'd say it was Brendan's house at first, mainly cos I'm sure that's the only dancer people know if they don't actually watch SCD!

Think that was because the guy guesser (Angus somebody) said something about 'someone sexy'. It was then the camera cut away to show Anton saying either 'If you say so' or 'Thank you' to the camera. (This happened a couple of times so I can't remember which Anton said when, but it was quite funny.)

Anton looked so upset thet they thought the house belonged to Brendan!

As Anton says he cannot cook I'd like to selflessly put myself forward to teach him to cook .

It was really good. I have recorded it on the sky+. The apartment was a bit minimal. There appeared to be no wardrobe for the shirts and suits they were on wooden racks and the shoes were all neatly on the floor, but on view.
I wondered if he shares it with Ms Fereday. there was little sign of anything very female except perhaps the cookery books. The lack of the basic essentials in the fridge didnt suggest a woman being around.

I have a male friend who lives in a trendy 'loft' and he doesn't have a wardrobe and things are laid out like that. Maybe we're last century with our wardrobes. Was thinking of buying a new one too!

New series started today. 3pm BBC2 for forty-five minutes.
Looks like they've got Stephanie Powers doing the American houses, though they wasted time showing her putting on her sunspecs, getting into the car, driving round town. She went to Andy Williams' house, and even though she said 'music to watch girls by' in one of her sentences, the panel still didn't guess him.
I didn't know the name of the third person (Antonia Okonma) on the show, but I knew from the clues that she must be an African girl who appeared in 'Bad Girls'. As someone has already said that panel weren't exactly bright.

That is what made me say they weren't bright. How could you not get that

OK. Now what did Anton say......
The main bit I remember is about the cookery books. He said that he doesn't actually cook - he always eats out. When asked about preparing a romantic meal for two, he said, no, no, recipe for disaster. so take her out for a meal. If things weren't going too well - give her a drink. That was why the wine and champagne were in the fridge! (Sorry, this isn't coming over with half the humour with which Anton said it.)
Then David asked him about the rumour that he was Bruce's love-child, to which Anton gave his stock reply of his mum knew Bruce and that he'd popped out for some milk 25 years ago, but hadn't returned.
And at the beginning Anton was asked about the success of SCD. I can't remember exactly what he said. If Elizabethjo still has the prog on Sky+ perhaps she could give a brief resume of that - please all the other bits I missed out .

I know I'm the very last person to criticise someone with an accent because I've still got mine after living south of the Thames for nearly 40 years, but her voice really really grates on my nerves.
Please dear dear BBC - no Nancy on SCD.

But Nancy isn't a WAG. She's a highly successful model in her own right, and has never capitalised on her husband's fame - in any way - at all - oh dear, no.

I could be way off here but do I detect a teeny, tiny hint of sarcasam?

About the effect of Strictly, Anton said more or less what he always says, he said they were following on from Come Dancing and he didnt think dancing needed a boost but then strictly was put forward and they said ok so long as it is taken seriously and the beeb said of course it is Sat night prime time TV and they were all amazed how well it did and how much the public loved it.

I can imagine how the panel found it hard to decide who it was from Strictly, obviously a single male so I guess Brendan came to mind, but after they were told no ,they did go to the correct person. The apartment was really impersonal, apart from his tux and dance shoes in the bedroom, and his golf clubs and mags there was absolutely nothing personal in there. He is on it again on Friday so surely he must be on the panel then?

I suspect he has 'tidied up' his flat before the camera crew was allowed in!

To remove any evidence of 'flatmate(s)' living there, albeit 'only occasionally'.

It's not a well kept secret that he has a girlfriend. Isn't it only natural that she would have left some personal belongings at his?

I have heard they make you move any evidence that will give it away like photos and is his case dancing trophies.

Hope everyone enjoyed seeing Anton getting 'down and dirty' on the underdog show. He looked great in the jeans and they are better than smart trousers when you are intending to demonstrate the moves for Ginger, that rollover deserved a 10! Just need to see him go through the tunnel now!
