I'm after a 15 inch LCD/DVD combination unit for in the kitchen but there aren't many around.

iv'e come accross these two and was wondering if anyone has one or had one or could recommend a different one, i dont mind ordering online but would prefer if i could pick it up in store.

Needs to be silver or at least mostly silver, not black and freeview would be a bonus but not nessasary.

thanks

I would seriously advise against it! - the DVD's commonly fail fairly early, far better to buy a seperate cheap DVD player.

I'm looking for a similar combination. If you advise not to get an integrated DVD what can be brought that will sit nicely with one of these smaller TVs ?

Cheers,

Allen

I bought this DVD player from Tesco about a month ago.

It's a bargain at £18 and it can be unlocked to play DVDs from other regions.

I've had a lot of experience with the Kenmark one, the first batch were prone to DVD failure, the recent batches have been perfect though.

Not many problems at all with them!

Well i have brought one so hopefully it will be fine. I had a good look around at other models in other shops and this was the best looking one and had a pc input too which will come in handy for me.

It hasn't been setup yet as its a gift for someone so i'll report back when its setup.

Does anyone know if its compatible with the sky remote and if so what's the code? the menu/remote looks a bit like a Matsui/Orion type, not vestel (Goodmans etc.) so I'll try them first.

Also, I noticed it has a DC input but i couldn't follow the end of the wire to find out if the transformer is wall mouted or if it has another cable from the transformer to the mains, either a kettle type lead or a figure of 8 lead. As you have had experience with them i expect you know. Thanks.

Unfortunately i don't know the Sky code, it's certainly not Vestel though.

The PSU is not a wall-wart, it's a laptop style PSU with a kettle lead
