nearing end of contract - what upgrades will i be offered
I am currently with o2 online and am only on a £15/month contract.
I have a K750i which is 2 years old. I had planned to go to PAYG cos I hardly ever use my minutes/texts but the phone is stating to show its age so am considering staying on and getting an upgrade. Anyone know what o2 are likely to offer me? I know its not gonna be much cos I spend so little every month. I can get an upgrade in a months time so just trying to see what I would get. I dont really wanna spend much more that 15 a month but realise this is probably unlikely to happen. Thanks. |

free even though I only spend £15 a month?
My mate spends much more than that and he still had to pay 30 or 40 quid for the k800i. Last edited by sla_steve : 27-03-2007 at 14:29. |

If you are on O2 online, you will get the same deal as a new customer. Have a look at the O2 website.

I upgraded with T-Mobile recently on their daytime 3000 minute business line rental. From £15 per month to just £2.62 inc VAT. Useless customer service though as I was originally told over the phone that I would only pay for call charges only to get a call back saying it was a mistake.

I'm in the same boat as you steve, got a k750i, pay £15 a month too. I'll be going for the k800i. You might have to haggle a bit though, o2 in the past with me have tried to charge for upgrades. If they say this to you just say you want to cancel and they should back down.

cheers tommo - Im expecting a bit of trouble with it.
Im nearly sure they are going to say they cant let me upgrade while staying on the same contract. Like prking says they will probably offer the same as a new customer which is their 20/month contract which has nowhere near as many inclusive minutes as mine. |

loving the phone! I cant get over how slim and light it is compare to my k750i!
The camera is supposed to be 3 megapixel but im not seeing a vast improvement over my old 2 megapixels - theres a load of settings tho so I mnay just need to play with it a bit more. O2 did change a lot - such as removing games and replacing them with demos and setting up WAP access to only use GPRS which costs a fortune. I get free dialup minutes so tried to change that but they have it locked! In the process of fixing that tho ![]() All in all im ver impressed and will definitely be keeping the phone. Got the chrome one exclusive to o2. https://shop.o2.co.uk/phone/Samsung/D900_Chrome |
