I haven't yet, but I heard two possible closing dates for pplications, the 9th and the 30th of March, so I'm not expecting to hear anything until all the applications tat have been in have had a chance to be processed.
You're the one whose son applied last year aren't you? Has he applied again this year?

Hopefully he'll get further this year as i doubt Simon will have the under 24's again. |

Is that one of the proper auditions then or is it one of the open ones?

Do they post them out in order of audition date? I'm hoping they're not posting the Manchester auditions yet cos I haven't heard anything!

KennyB, you can tell me how it went then!
The downside for me is, if I got through to the next round two of the chosen days are days I have A Level exams! Luckily my exams are in the morning so I could go afterwards, but I hope we wouldn't have to register at a morning time.

Am currently searching through loads and loads of songs to find one that suits my voice! Have currently narrowed down to three artists; Elton John, Meatloaf & Boyz II Men - with a few songs of each... have two or three possibilities!
Am just getting over a cold and tonsillitis at the moment, so am blaming that on why I don't particularly sound very good, well - not as good as I usually do... [or maybe I am a very deluded person, I don't know - hehe!] I know I won't get anywhere, but am gonna give it 100%, at least I can say i've tried, eh! ![]() Has anybody got any replies yet?! Surely someone must have??? |

Hi Kenny,
I have an idea Could be a good idea for you too and other guys out there in the same predicament. See, IMO it's not just about how the song suits your voice, it's got to be a bit different, sound good a capello and give a decent vocal range in just one verse and chorus!! Good luck with your audition and song choice Love Cally |

Hi Cally!
That sounds like a great idea! I might just do that too. What you said about the song being different & unique, that's basically narrowed my three down to two, as I had a song that, er - nearly everybody sings! It wasn't my main choice anyway because I thought, like you said, it'd need to be different! At the moment, the two songs I have chosen are songs that actually suit my singing style. They're a bit different as well (which is a bonus) and the vocal range does stand out. It's a bit hard work to get it exactly right, but practice makes perfect, ay! ![]() According to what i've read on here in the past, we're going to audition to the producers/talent scouts before being notified if we're good enough to perform for the main four judges. I think this is right? Hope so! Is there anyone that has auditioned before on here that can tell us the procedures which we may go through? x Kenny. |

Hi Kenny,
If I remember correctly from last year (a mate of mine made it to boot camp!) the first audition is in front of a producer and then if you are successful, you are asked back to a recall at a later date (see your letter as these dates will be advised on there). At the recal you sing again in front of another lot of producers and then if you get the nod you audition in front of the judges later that day. Basically, there is a lot of filtering before the actual judges stages. My advice is to take each stage at a time and give it your absolute all from the moment you walk in, you have to make the producers sit up and listen....literally as they could possibly be totally fed up by the time that they get to your audition having been totally Whitneyed and Mariahed out. If you want to run your song choices by me, feel free to send me a PM (I promise not to pinch any of your ideas and I'll hope you'll be able to return the favour) Love Cally |

Am currently a bit worried about queuing up! Am thinking about getting the coach there & back from there at certain times. But am a bit worried because it says that the audition time is between 11:00 and 14:00. If I got there at say, 11:00 (which is the estimate time we decided we would get there) - would the audition be between 11 and 2?- or would I have to wait for longer?
Mum seems to reckon that I will sign in at 11 & still be there at 8 due to the amount of people that might be turning up, thereby missing the return coach [at what we decided would be around 5]. I don't want to book the return coach time too late because what if I was in and out at 11, we'd be waiting around until 5. BUT, I don't want to book the coach return too early, because what if I got there at 11 and had to wait around until god knows how long, thereby having to miss the coach OR miss the audition! DILEMMAAAAA! |

Hey all!
I still haven't decided on a song. I'm trying not to be nervous, but that's easier said than done. I guess if I just go there with an open mind anything can happen right? All I want is to see the real judges, and I'll be happy with that. Like 2 weeks to go now!
