RF cables - any reason to use them?
Hi,
I'm just about to clean and re-cable my entertainment set-up and I'm thinking about the best way to re-cable everything using as few cables as possible. Is there any reason to still use the old fashioned RF "aerial" cables as well as scart cables? My set-up mostly consists of television, Sky tuner (I don't have a analogue or freeview connection), 2 DVD recorders and an XBOX. My new Panasonic DVD recorder includes 3 RF cables and connection diagrams to use them but I was wondering if they are really necessary. Thanks, Steve. |

No, if you've got enough spare SCART or HDMI connectors to do the job then why bother with RF?
I've got Sky piped round the house with co-ax, but other than that everything's SCARTed up. |
