Does any one actually like the Eastenders character Bert? I cant stand him and wish they would axe him and Keith Miller for that matter they are both disgusting slobs that have no purpose in the soap.

No i cant understand a word bert says.
I just wish that he and the even more horrible grandson would leave walford forever....

I dont think Keef should be axed yet. He has more reason to be there as he has family-bert and jay have no connections. I think if Keef was given a better storyline where he scrubs up, does a learndirect course-in psychology or something lol-and meets a woman then it could be a nice change....plus mickey dawn and darren need him around i think!

I found Bert tedious until quite recently. Now I think that him and Jay are an intriguing duo.

I like Bert, I find him funny. I loved the scenes he did when his ex wife died. I wish they would put him and Mo back together, they were a scream.

Bert and Jay are a good double act and are two of the better characters in EE IMO

I like Bert, I just wish they'd make up their mind whether they are going to go anywhere with his stories!

He seems a pointless character although i think Jay is ok. Maybe i'll like him more when his storyline develops with Jay

I'd also like to see them explore more into his family history. What with the problems he's having with his eyes, maybe some of his family could arrive sometime in the future to support him.

I'd like to see him get back with Mo, and have more scenes street sweeping with Gus! At least it will give Gus some point in being there!!

Yep. I love Bert, he is hilarious. He mumbles some of the time but he really is great on the show. Watching him transform for Jay has been great viewing for me and his eye illness will be intresting to watch.

I also love Keith Miller. He doesn't do much but his character is just brilliant. He sits on his backside all day watching television and is a lazy slob (Reminds me of someone i know *cough*) I feel Keith is like Charlie Slater and should just stay in the background. I think EE should develop his storyline of not being able to read and write some more.

At first I absolutely despised him. However, now, since his old wife died he has been quite an interesting character and I think I've gone to a stage where I don't mind him anymore.

His eye condition and him accepting Jay are very interesting storylines.

Funny how his best friend died and we never saw an emotional impact on him following.

But then they never mentioned Joe again and they could have... talk about lazy writing.

I like Bert, I think he's quite different from the rest of the men on square, which is a good thing, would love him to link up with Pat
