I heard that she may kill Ben and the opposite, that Ben may kill her. Anyone have any news?

I read that Philth is going to marry her so she's going to be around for a while yet, and I'm pleased.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I like her too. about time she got her own back on that little Brat Ben. Don't want her to kill him though. that would be too far.

Yeah im glad too as it would be pointless doing the story if it ended to quickly, as most abuse goes on for a long time and i think its important to show the public this.
Who knows it may even help someone identify that abuse is happening in their own home. In the soaplife spoiler thread it says that peggy helps stella with wedding preparations, so just how quick do they plan to marry

Now that would be an interesting scenario. She could really try pushing ben out then.

very true but if she treats ben that badly how would she treat her own child? Do you think she would be behaving any different if ben accepted her at the start? or do you think she would be that evil anyway?
IM NOT SAYING WHAT SHES DOING IS OK CAUSE SHE IS EVIL! just wondering if anyone thinks things would be different if he had been welcoming at the start? |

No Stella looks to me like she's suffered the same abuse as a child from her main parent or carer and feels a deep need to emulate it. She needs help and quickly as the damage she's doing to Ben may not be reversable. Ben may grow up abusing children too.
I despise this character and what she's doing and I'm not usually like this but I can see why she's doing it. |

the actress playing her is so very brave to do it. Many actors get abuse in the streets from fans just for cheating on their soap partner she must get hell everytime she walks down the street. She does a fantastic job with the character it must be hard playing someone that evil

Yeah she will get some people saying strange things to her...Kate Ford had to hire a bodyguard. I can't fault this actress at all...she's amazing. She brought Stella to life in a way which made me hate Stella's guts. I find her unwatchable for that reason.
Sophie should win some awards for sure for this performance. |

When I saw the character of Stella for the first time I though oh come on, that voice has to be put on, but the actress, Sophie, actually talks like that!

i'm really not very happy about where EE are taking this storyline (Ben/Stella), I find it very distressing and not the sort of thing that i want to see on TV when i'm trying to relax.
I feel that many who have been abused out there in this way will be pleased that it is being highlighted, and EE are very brave for going down the child abuse story line but may now think like myself that it is time to stop the storyline, and have a quick resolution I know that won't be the case as thats not how EE productions are, and i expect this to just get worse and worse. I'm not sure that its a good thing to make viewing pleasure from something so cleary distressing!!! |

IT just shows what can really go on behind closed doors but at the same time provides a long running storyline for EastEnders. It's all handled very well, and there's support out there for people that need it, the BBC has made that quite clear. |

I think the whole psycological chils abuse thing is really well done and very well acted ( and am i wrong to think quite funny in places!). Although the boy who plays Ben is usually quite annoying I actually think he and EE are very brave doing this as it must be hard for a kid his age to do this and to show things like him wetting himself etc,, as he could get teased in real life for this.
well done EE, you do do the dramatic stuff well! |

I'd like to see her ex-husband show up. I wonder if he knows anything about her, er, "secret" life as a child abuser!

I had heard EE were trying to decided if Stella would stay or go at the end of this storyline.

although i do find it hard to watch i think its very brave of EE to do this storyline. And isn't the boy who plays Ben turning into a cracking actor? He and Sophie work together well. I never liked Ben-i couldn't work out if it was bad acting or just his character but this storyline is doing him great justice.
but god help Stella when Phil finds out!!!!! |
