BBC Statement:
"Following Mohammed George's caution, EastEnders Executive Producer, Diederick Santer has taken the decision to suspend Mohammed George with immediate effect for a period of two months.

In addition Mohammed George would like to apologise to the BBC and its viewers for his actions that have brought EastEnders into disrepute."

He's hardly in it anyway so it won't make much difference.. apparently he "physically assaulted his partner after a blazing argument outside a London eatery."

This incident happened before Christmas, and I thought the charges had been dropped.

Yeah, I mean the question is, will anyone actually notice? It might be the catalyst for EE to either do something with him when he gets back or realise he isn't needed.

I thought he left years ago, didn't he go off with some girl called Nita. What is the point of his character? He hasn't been involved in any proper storylines I can think of since being with sonia- He's just seems to be a token black guy- they should give him a decent storyline or get rid I say!

It's possible he could just employed as a part timer, just like any other company has.

Wasn't it Robbie Jackson who went of with Nita?
Mohamed had been interviewed a while ago and said he was happy with the set up at ee now. He didn't want any of the major storylines and was happy to be called upon when needed.

It's nothing to do with being black, he's like many occasional characters (Charlie, Gary, Naomi) who are now there for he background.

But Naomi's leaving and Garry's getting a storyline soon! Charlie is often involved in Stacey's life making him a worthwhile character but the last storyline I recall Gus having to do which just involved him was about Wellard!

He was there on Martins last episode. Was mentioned on that Martin and Sonia thing on bbc3. I like Gus but to be honest I thought he'd left.

possibly the most redundent suspension ever, seeing as he's hardly ever on screen

a bit confused by the police caution as I'm sure his girlfriend denied there was an assualt. Obviously the police felt there was something worth cautioning for (I hope Mo learns from this)

I'd like to see him in more EE storylines. At the moment he's barely a glorified extra, if there aren't any stories then write him out

Does that mean the streets of Walford won't get dusted for 2 months?
Wellard won't get fed?

Scandalous!

But seriously, who's even going to notice? It's like suspending Zoe's cat.

Hopefully this is a pre-cursor to a permanent exit.

hmm Token black guy I say. Charlie and Gary have have some vaugely decent storylines in the past, that guy has never really had a decent storyline unless you count with sonia years ago or that crap with juley.

I've still seen gary have a few storylines with minty now and again although charlie doesn't do much but he holds the slaters- or whats left of them together. Gus has no proper friends or family he doesn't do anything except sweep the roads. Lets face it he's a loser character. Not even a hapless loveable loser, just a boring loser.lol
