She was by far the best candidate, IMO.

Yeah Ruth was the best out of all of them, i always thought she was gonna win . I was quite surprised when Alan said Michelle

Jo Cameron from series two!!! How funny.

Definitely Ruth for series two - so vastly superior to Michelle who spent her team-leading task in Top Shop drinking champagne and trying out the services of the personal shopper, as I recall. Sir Alan is such a sucker for a hard-luck story.
There were lots of good characters in series one - Saira drove me mad but I warmed to her in the end; I liked James Max, and Paul was very funny.

Season 1: Can't pick between Paul, Saira, Tim, James, Miriam. Most of them were great, actually.

Season 2: Ruth. Also liked Karen. Everyone else sucked!

I only watched Series Two but it had to be Mad Jo an The Badger for me.

Saira and Ruth. Both runner-ups who should have won IMO.

Miriam- a fantactis contestant who made very few mistakes- was the first girl to lead a team to victory (remember the girls were terrible in series 1) and she was cruelly robbed from getting into the semi final!

But I also liked the Tim, Miriam, Ben and Sebastian grouping that came about mid season.

But I did always like The Adele- so bad she was great! Not many people can strop around going 'oh for gods sake' with style but she carried it off. And her shouting "Miranda come back onto the other side of the road! You do not walk away from me!"

You know, I never took a liking to Ruth.

I'll be honest, I wanted Syed to win

Jo for me because she was the most entertaining.

I only saw last year's series. My favourites were Alexa and Karen

whoever it was who had the amazing idea for Semiphore!

The stupid idea of having massive cards with Pictures that school children could use as a code to each other, because obviously they were unable to talk to each other? and she said it was like texting, except that they had to be within about 10 feet of each other.

Oh and Syed, Paul and it pains me to say it, but Saira. Although she was a right state on Comic relief the other day.

2005: Paul & Saira - Both equally insane.
2006: Jo & Ruth - See above.

Most people in the first one were good watching! Real characters - the kind of people that were such compulsive viewing.

James, has to be said, was my fave though.

Oh Adele. So glad someone can remember her in such detail! My favourite Adele moments:

1) Squabbling with Miranda in the cab with Sebastian (I think) in between them.

2) the above line + "I delegated you the role of PA!"

3) The way she pronounced PRO-ject manager.

4) squabbling with Saira when she said "you need to calm down- you're being too hyperactive," rather hyperactively.

Series 1 - Paul...then James and Miriam.

Series 2 - I don't know. Probably Ansell or Karen.
The other ones that I remember weren't exactly my favourites.
