I had a feeling Andy was stitched up. The other members of the boys' team may have seen him as weak/naive/cowardly, especially after the "If you three are willing to do it, so am I" remark.
They may have thought they could sacrifice him by putting him up as a team-leader.
I felt a little sorry for Andy with all the yells, and cuddling and male-bonding. It looked like he was trying too hard and not really noticing what went on in front of his nose and behind his back. He really wanted to be friends with anyone and maybe thought he would be safe that way.
