What has happened to the headlines of some soap magazines lately ? It really frustrates and annoys me how cheap and tacky they can be in trying to get people to read them. I know they are trying to grab people in, but there is no need to "near to the knucke almost lie" or intenionally mislead, as it will just make those readers who got hooked-in to never buy the mag again.
I think Inside Soap is a bit more on the classy side as it tends not to go over the top on headlines and is more genuine. 2 soap mags did say "Dawn's dead?" but at least Soap Life and Inside Soap left it at those 2 words and a question mark, instead of below. But today I saw All About Soap magazine and on the front are.....
"May MURDERS Dawn....and Rob?"
"Stacey and Max KILL Sean?"
"Michelle KILLS HER BROTHER?"
Bare in mind this magazine is meant for the 2 weeks between around now and 6th April. Okay, so lets read inside for the info on the first "story" above. A small article about Rob leaving in Spring, then another article saying May might wreak further revenge on Rob. Nothing I could read about Dawn being murdered, except that she drinks too much vodka and is rushed to hospital. So where is the article about May killing Dawn and Rob ? Where is even anything written closely related to that ?
On to Stacey and Max kill Sean. Hmmm, all I could see is that the actor who plays Sean might be leaving in the future so he has a career in US. HUH ???? Is that it ? He hasn't even said he will quit yet, no storylines of him dying has been made or even hinted at as he hasn't quit. So what the hell is that headline all about ?
Now on to Michelle killing her brother. So the actor who plays her brother is leaving. Again that is it. That is all they know, that he leaves. No known way of how he leaves, alive or dead.
Perhaps I am being blind and missed the proper stories related to those headlines, but if I didn't, then I am shocked at how misleading that is.
