Jadine: hopelessly inept or potential winner?
Despite letting her dislike of Tre cloud her judgement and resorting to singing an atrocious song, I think Jadine will go far in this competition. I liked the fact that she volunteered to be team leader when everyone else - girls and boys alike - was desperately trying to manoeuvre somebody else into the firing line. She seems to have a quick temper, but on the whole I don't think her team-leading performance was any dodgier than that of last year's champagne-swigging, personal-shopping Michelle, who was very lucky to win her team-leading task at Top Shop, and went on to win the show.

I don't think she's going to win even if this was the first episode I've seen her in. If the team had lost I reckon she would have gone as she was hell bent on promoting the Eclipse coffee "experience" rather than selling the damn things like Tre.
Also her singing

I couldn't understand where she was coming from with the 'experience' either - its not like they would be selling coffee ever again...
Or is 'Eclipse Coffee' her buisness idea for when she gets fired? |

Her singing was the most cringe inducing thing I have seen in a long time, I had to hit the mute button as I was breaking out in a rash!

I admired her for not letting Tre talk over her.
But agree that the 'Eclipse coffee experience' thing was unspeakably dim. All they needed was to sell coffee that day, repeat custom was never going to be an issue! |

Yes, there was something quite compulsive and manic about her singing and overall behaviour in the task...
Saying that, if he were to tone it down a bit, I would like her. It will be very interesting to see how she will cope being told what to do when others are the PM. |

I dont think she was even selling a good eclipse experience other than the silly eclipse sign on some drinks. The guys were willing to add sugar, whip the drinks and more which Jadine found frilly. They were probably the ones to offer a good service and experience to their customers.
Jadine does seem what sir sugar would call 'out of control'. She didnt seem to have any tact as she was constantly shouting at them on the sreet over silly things such as not holding a paper right. She probably wont last any furhter than the fourth week. |

The BBC may insist she's been screened properly by psychologists but I have misgivings about someone who was sectioned only 4 years ago.

I am still emotionally scarred by that squatting pose she adopted when singing.
Her scarf belt made it look like she was wearing a loin cloth or a nappy. It was like watching a constipated baby trying to do a poo. |

posted incorrectly on the other thread -
Jadine is far too lippy & her sales strategy is flawed. Her team won not because of her but because the guys actually know how to sell, no thanks to her. |

Margret will kill her as soon as she's in the board room. The whole splitting up a winning team, losing the pitch, and "experience" nonesense will be brought back up, regardless of how well she does in the task that get's her into the boardroom, she'll go for this one.

Jadine was useless.
She was a control freak who didnt like the fact that Tre and Simon were doing well in the van and wanted to jump aboard so she could take some of the plaudits. Had the boys team lost she would have been fired for sure. |

I couldn't understand why she pulled the van back when it was actually doing a great job selling the coffee. Was it because she didn't like Tre or what??
You don't pull something out when it's working also as Sir Alan's right hand woman said you shouldn't spilt up a winng team and she wanted to spilt up Tre & Simon Imo she should have gone last night if she was on the losing team she would have I'm sure. |

I think she will last a good few weeks but not make it to the end. It will certainly make for good TV.
Jadine seems tough, however much people start to hate her she will probably impress Sir Alan before for a while and be given a few chances before she really makes a mess of something and gets the boot. She would have got fired for the first task if they hadn't have won but thats the sort of luck you need in the early stages. The other team got everything wrong so she was lucky, how difficult can it be to sell coffee. The brightest business minds of the UK and they screw that up! |

There was a point where she was having a right go at him for talking over her and he was just stood there quietly waiting for her to finish, she said "You're still doing it" but he wasn't saying a thing. It reminded me of Big Brother where contestants just accuse somebody of bullying them when they're not at all and the viewer immediately assumes that they must be being bullied if somebody claims that they are. To me, most of the time it just seems like a passive agressive trick that reality contestants try to pull on each other. Just accuse somebody of bullying you to get them into trouble. Only in this case the accusation was that Tre was constantly talking over her, but most of the time he wasn't. Most of the time it was Jadine talking over everybody else with them just stood there quietly wondering who the hell this person thinks she is. Last edited by Alrightmate : 29-03-2007 at 14:39. |

Jadine does seem what sir sugar would call 'out of control'. She didnt seem to have any tact as she was constantly shouting at them on the sreet over silly things such as not holding a paper right. She probably wont last any furhter than the fourth week. But I believe that this was in despite of Jadine, not because of her. Because what did she actually do that was of any benefit to the team? The team appeared to me to be really positive and keeping their moral up, I believe a lot of their success was more to do with their team spirit. Jadine's role just appeared to be to try to go out of her way to ruin that team spirit and morale at every opportunity. When Tre and the other guy were selling loads of coffee Jadine told them that they were making losses and wanted to split them up...How is that good leadership? I thought Jadine was really bad. Just because a leader shouts at their staff a lot and shows them that they're the boss doesn't mean that they are a good leader. Having a boss that spends most of the time practically telling their staff "When i say jump you jump, because I'm your boss" is not what I'd call a good leader. I too think that she may probably go in the first few weeks if she doesn't actually show what she can do. Because that attitude was not a good thing last night. She was constantly undermining her staff, talking down to them, and trying to destroy their morale and enthusiasm. In my opinion that's a terrible boss. Maybe she's overcompensating and trying to present an image of what she believes a strong leader should be. Because that's the overall sense I got from her, that she was trying to present an image of a tough boss, and not really contributing much else. |

Maybe she tried to undermine Tre and Simon due to the insecurity she may have felt if the team had lost and she needed somebody to go into the boardroom with her. In that situation she MUST look to have been the best performer on the team as the leader is very vulnerable. If the perception is that Tre and Simon were doing really well then they would be less likely to get fired and she would be. So I think she probably had it in her mind that the boss must look better than anybody else at all times, or there is a strong chance that the boss would be fired if they didn't win the task. Like I said in my previous post, I think with Jadine it was all about image and trying to look better than everybody else as a means to protect herself. Style more than actual content. A good boss shouldn't be undermining staff if they are performing really well. |

She was a loop, plain and simple. I've watched all the Apprentice both US and UK and she is the first one I have ever wanted out the door straight away. She did nothing that I could see within the task other then shout, dictate and poorly manage the team she was given by Sir Alan. As for the mobile van, well I think the fact that she had two people spare she wanted on the van (only 10 mins away) and pulled it back speaks for itself. If the van is making money, send the bleeding staff to the van, not the other way around.
Oh and in one of her pieces to camera (interview) she stated she liked pressure and worked well with it. Later on you see Sardine in the strategy meeting complaining that they are all talking over her and she is under pressure - Come on girl, work it....no pain, no gain. I can see Jadine getting to the interview stage (final four).
