Same with Michelle Collins' character in a futuristic industrial setting asking "What are you?" apparently answered with "We are the Family of Blood!" by the family in woodland.

it's just that all current episode 1 report's don't feature alien Pigs, so may be there's hope for old 'sonic.
The sonic screwdriver is seen being used (According to filming that was recorded by someone close by) for Episode 12 or 13 of Doctor Who, it is being used on Jacks watch/wrist.
