That will be the time someone on here slags off the new series.........

So? It'll be someone's opinion won't it? If they can substaniate their opinion with reasons why, then that surely is fair enough.

I won't judge on the first episode as it's bound to be a cheese fest. The evolution of the series into *hopefully* a darker, more intense show won't happen over night.

I'm perfectly calm thanks. Notice you ignore my points, mainly because you probably agree.

hmm i have to agree, u seem very confrontational and post very agressive posts.

but true, there is bound to be someone who slags the new series off, more than likley someone who has done nothin but see trailers and read review of episode synopsis on here.

I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I was just pointing out that several people that post on here WILL NOT give this series a chance.

Hence the one minute past transmission time for my estimate on a moan!!!!

My point is, Second Chance, is that those people will quite clearly not have a proper argument beyond 'its rubbish' or some other diatribe.

I, after not enjoying last years and making my feelings clear to why on here, will give it a chance.

Love to know how that comes through as 'confrontational' when in escence, I'm agreeing with you!

Smile, it brightens up the day

Sigh.. and people wonder why there's so much bickering around here. What exactly do you hope to achieve with this thread other than getting people bitching again?

But will it be Rooks, Yoonix or Addy2Hotty? Or an unplaced outsider?

Not me, I've already stated my opinion on how the series will take time to evolve.

Tut tut, that was very 'confrontational' and 'aggressive', according to cusseywoo and Second Chance.

Oh look, here's another one. Pretty pathetic Mickey. We may not see eye-to-eye on the series but I thought you were better than this. Guess I was wrong

This is the reason I used to post the way I did about the series. You aren't allowed to post negative things about the series, and nothing positive about RTD.

Love to know what the exact difference there is in that.

Takes a lot more than that to hurt my feelings I'm afraid. Sorry but it's annoying that the very same people who moan at me for being "negative" then go and create pointless threads like this designed for no practical reason other than to either mock anyone whose negative toward the show or to start yet another pro-v-con thread.

The OP has made two points. Firstly, that someone will more than likely have a pop at Saturday's episode while it's airing. I have no doubt it'll happen too, but the validity of that "pop" aside, I can't fathom why people post on shows they're supposed to be watching on TV!? Okay, on ITV there are ads, so there's an excuse, but why you'd bother anyway, I've never got to grips with. BBC's different - you really should be watching the show instead of posting - unless you've had enough and switched off!

Secondly, the OP claims "there are several people that post on here WILL NOT give this series a chance". Rather a sweeping provocative statement, and one I'd have to completely disagree with, as I just haven't (in all the Who threads) witnessed any indication of anybody actually hating the show.

I disagree. People HAVE slated the current incarnation of Dr Who.

Having been an avid viewer on the cult forum (I like to read the bickering and people's guesstimates as to how certain shows will develop) I just thought I'd chuck my twopennorth worth in.

With Dr Who there are a lot of people on here who dislike its incarnation under Russell T Davies. There are also others who hate the fact that an actress who got "done" by the cybermen will replace Billie Piper.

It's only my opinion but I believe these people will be amongst the ones who are first on here Saturday slating the new series...........

I agree with you. I love Doctor Who and will praise when good. However when I have not enjoyed an episode I will say so. You're also right - why post while the show is on. I will be on the sofa (or behind) with a cup of tea and a biscuit. I may then post. There have been people say they hate the show but not the regular posters. These posters dip in and out the threads and really only make statements like this to cause mischief. Anyway I waited with baited breath just like the rest of you.

Which biscuit?

I think we should have an official biscuit for the opening episode.

Chocolate digestive?

But do they hate the programme and most only slate certain episodes. Hate is such a strong passion and would mean you dislike the whole concept of Doctor Who which is a different thing entirely.

Always chocolate or custerd creams. Some episodes may require a G and T though instead of the tea. I won't say any more.

I applaud your Dave Lister approach to watching TV. Although if I really want to watch a show, I can't eat a curry and pay attention to the screen without missing parts and making it look like I've shit on my chest, so just as bad as posting on a website while watching TV in my book!

"Cooking" or "cocking"? If it's "cocking", then it sounds like a whole different ball game. Would have to refine my previous point; but other than saying Kormas are for wimps, sounds like a plan!
