People in EE's jobs
Why is it that Max, Stella, and Pat are always in the Square but never at work ?
Today Max was in the square yet again during work hours. Pat just seems to shuffle around the Square all the time. Stella was an over-worked solicitor not so long ago who was incredibly stressed out and kept falling asleep on the job. Now she has all the free time in the world ? |

They really dont know what to do with people who havnt got jobs in the square yet are in a big storyline, do they?
I suppose they could say Max's job means he has to visit a client in their home so would pop back now and again. Stella is a now officially the soaps reigning mad woman alongside May (notice they both have bulging eyes), so it doesnt matter what her job is. I noticed in one episode where Honey was having to have conversations with Pat about the pregnancy, Pat just kept turning up conveniently. Even at the allotment, there was Pat's face staring through the shed at her. |

Max works for an agency, so he doesn't have to be in an office, he's out and around, and can go where he likes - Stella also, and she works from home sometimes...

To be fair, other soaps are the same, unless the character works in a shop or cafe you never see them at work unless it's part of the storyline. It's lucky there's a market in Walford!

May is the local GP but she's never in the damn surgery - she's always in the flat or pub. I only ever saw her do one home visit and that was to Bert's dying ex wife who wasn't even one of her patients.

May has been in the surgery a lot (not as of late, though), I remember her giving Naomi a job, and having tons of visits there from various characters. Max is never at work, but he always appears to be 'working from home'. Same with Stella, even on Mondays episode when Dawn wanted to see her Peggy said she was working from home 'today'. More like permanently lol. |
