Pauline's House
I went on holiday for 2 weeks in Feb and think I must have missed something re Pauline's house and who owns it.
I thought it was Martin's as long as Sonia didn't move in, but last night it was stated that it is Ian's. Did Ian buy it from Martin? |

Joanne, I didn't go on holiday for two weeks in Feb and I'm still confused!
For years I assumed it was rented then a couple of years ago I thought Martin and Sonia had a mortgage on it? Then when Pauline died it seemed she still owned half? This sort of suggests that she sold half to Martin - sounds rum to me! Slimey Ian had to make sure that Sonia didn't move in as that was against Paulines wishes. I can only assume that Martin sold the house to Ian (without a storyline), in which case - why hasn't the skank cleaned the smoke blackened living room? Pauline didn't leave the house to Ian, he just had to make sure Sonia didn't move in. Nice cousin eh? Last edited by junglejuice : 30-03-2007 at 10:27. |

PMSL Martin had half the house think it happened when him and sonia got married though im not 100% so basically martin and his mum co-owned the house
It was in the will that the other half of the house would go to martin but only if sonia didnt move in. If she did then it would go to Ian. So the house belongs to martin because he didnt move sonia in and he put it up for sale and i presume ian has bought it or buying it |

Yeah, Ian bought it from Martin, who already owned half of it already.

edit. Actually I recall a funny Alistar McGowan sketch a few years ago set in the Vic about how everybody owned/part owned a share of every business/property in Walford, hilarious ! Last edited by Cloud9 : 30-03-2007 at 11:08. |

Loved the Dot/Albert Steptoe character as well The 'whose house is it anyway' saga is very reminescent of the Alistair Mc series |

I'm glad we got that sorted
Is smirky Ian planning to turn it into a Gracelands to 'Auntie Powline' or will he be lured by rent money? No need to answer lol, I bet he tries to rip Billy and Honey off though. |

Surely Ian, being a *top* business man would be better off doing the place up so it no longer looks like a time warp from the 1950s and selling it at a huge profit?

He'll probably do it up though, what with the smoke damage! |
