Tegan Jovanka
30-03-2007
Just seen that Freema Agyeman is appearing on ITV's breakfast show GMTV. I am not sure what time and I may have gone to work but I will try and catch it.

Wasn't she on Blue Peter aswell??????

If we are talking about his new assistant, I can't be bothered to look up the actresses name, she is already annoying me and this is before I have actually seen her acting, she looks like she would be better suited in Eastenders.

bit early to write the poor girl off! I wasn't a fan of her acting in AoG/Doomsday..the little she was in it...but I want to she what she can do as Martha for a few episodes before making any conclusions. am hoping she might surprise us.

But most if not all of the time in Aog/Doomsday her character was under the influence of the Cyberman so she wouldn't be acting normally

what I am saying is I didn't see anything startling about her performance in those episodes, whether she was under the influence of the Cybermen or not but I did see her in Crossroads! I am not writing Freema off, quite the contrary. I will be watching with an open mind and hoping she delivers the goods.

She was on BBC breakfast news earlier this week.

Maybe you need to do a bit of homework before criticising her pre-series start absence.

She'll be on Simon Mayo's programme on FiveLive in the next hour or so.

Quite, I've seen plenty of her (well not quite enough really ) over the last couple of weeks.

The fact is, DT is the Doctor, and it'll be DT who is most in demand, so there's no doubt the most high profile publicity calls will be mainly his.

Did you see Brando's early work - it was shocking!

(ps I know you're not jumping to conclusions, I just couldn't resist! )

Anyway, I doubt whether either two actors have much of a choice as to where and what they appear on - that will be down to the show's publicists etc and their ability to secure appropriate bookings (whilst taking account of where the two protagonists are in the country of course).

Brandos early work and Crossroads were both terribly awful. But im sure Freema Agyeman will be great. Me and Freema are both from the same place in London. Hackney. not a nice place lol.

She was ok in the opening episode. Not a knockout like Billie Piper but good. We will see how she changes over the course of the season.
