I currently use a Virgin Mobile phone, had the number for a long time (in mobile time) and I am generally pleased with Virgin Mobile. I want the Motorola W375 in red (Motorola call it orange). Virgin Mobile will only sell it to me in black.

I notice that Woolies have the red one at only £40 but on the T-mobile network. Seeing as Virgin use the T-Mobile network, could I just put my Virgin Mobile Sim in this phone and would it work?

It depends really. Some phones will, some won't.

I bought a Nokia 1112 last week on Virgin PAYG as I wanted to put a T-mobile sim card in it. Carphone Warehouse said it would work fine - it didn't.

Have a look online to see if you can unlock your particular handset easily if you do buy it on T-mobile you might be able to get an unlock code for a few pounds - or it may simply work.

I have a K800i locked to T-mobile contract which works on the Fresh network (similar to Virgin).

Give it a go and see, but remember I don't think T-mobile offer a refund on their PAYG handsets.

Usually Virgin SIMs work in T-Mobile phones but T-Mobile SIMs won't always work in Virgin phones.
