Even though the Marsden's have been living in Emmerdale now for about a fortnight, I still can't stand them. The worst actress is Frances, without a doubt. Its a shame becuase Emmerdale used to have excellent acting and interesting characters, but it looks like its going to change.....

Anyway, I didn't think they were THAT bad. Give them a chance...besides, the Battersbys and Slaters, as just two examples, were heavily scorned when they arrived, but went on to become very popular. The mum seems alright, as does her husband...so does the older son and his fiance(?) so far. One of the daughters seems a bit dodgy though...

Well I've seen worse I think she'll be fine once she settles in.

The thing with the Slaters and the Battersby's is that they totally changed. They were hated for being loud and outrageous in normal life, now these things only pop up occasionally (Mo's getting a chicken, Les being annoyed about his ex etc) they melted into the background.

I think the problem with the new family is that they all look the same (which is fair enough if they are supposed to be a family but they look so dopy!) so they are instantly forgettable.

when was les battersby EVER popular??. He has always been obnoxious and unfunny.

I watched the 'Mothers Day' episode of Emmerdale on Friday night (funny it was on Friday, eh? ) Anyway, Frances once again showed her poor acting sklills. The new family are dreadful. They are made out to be loud and somewhat rough, which doesn't exactly fit in with the soap. And I KNOW the Dingles are rough, but they are bearable cos they have been part of Emmerdale for so long. Even so, I can't stick the new family at all.
