Baby Sitters in EE
I know we put things down to it just being a soap and such like, but is there a storyline explanation for where Baby Bobby is when both Jane and Ian are at the cafe or in the pub ? Have we heard of a babysitter or nanny ? Unless I have missed something and Bobby is now elsewhere living with someone else. Are the other kids in Ian's family old enough to look after the baby ?
Any other ones that are missing ? I haven't seen Bettie the dog in a while. |

He goes to nursery I think. Do you remember when Ian was trying to catch Jan/Grant - he was taking Bobby to nursery, but bobby kept dressing up in ballerina outfits etc
As for the evenings, not a clue. Lucy and Peter aren't really old enough to look after him. |

Well I guess there are plenty of people around the Square who could babysit- Carly, Chelsea, Stacey, Preeti, Pat, Dot- the list goes on.

I think in soaps, babies and young children have the ability to enter into prolonged periods of suspended animation, sometimes for weeks or months at a time, when they don't need to be fed or educated or anything. One of the side effects of this is the tendency to grow a new head. When this happens, a temporal forcefield prevents the parents from noticing. The same applies to dogs and other pets.
