I was talking about the Scottish world, lol. But hey, the Americans love that tartan nonsense maybe they'll like them.

I hope they're not on with that bloody Lorraine Kelly, she slated them.

What did she say?

Rod Stewart did also.

She said they were an embarassment to Scotland.

She should stick to slabbering over Justin Hawkins like a wet knickered teenager.

I am afraid LK is an embarrassment to Scotland. You should hear what Steve Allen on LBC 97.3 has to say about her!!

Tony Bennett (the man who impressed Frank Sinatra) was praising the MacDonald's to the hilt! I do not give a stuff what Lorraine Kelly and Rod Stewart think. Rod is well past his best and I do not think I need say any more about LK!!

Interesting how you rate Tony Bennett (a very average singer with a long career) over Rod Stewart (an icon of rock music with a long career) - oh, I see, Rod said something you didn't like.

Rod Stewart

In late 2006, Rod Stewart made his return to the rock music, with the release of Still the Same... Great Rock Classics of Our Time, a new album featuring rock milestones from the last four decades, including a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" which was released as the first single. The album was released on October 10. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts with 184,000 copies in its first week. The number 1 debut was helped by a concert in NYC that was on MSN music and an appearance on Dancing With The Stars. He performed tracks from his new album Live from the Nokia Theater on October 9th. Control Room broadcast the event Live on MSN and in 117 movie theaters across the country via National CineMedia.Check out the concert on MSN Music[2]. The BBC quoted in their Breakfast Show on 1st November 2006 that Rod Stewart is one of the top ten biggest-selling artists in recording history, with well over 250,000,000 records sold.

I can see how they have really embarassed Scotland. How shameful to see two young lads who have worked really hard at something. Perhaps they should have stood around bus stops injecting drugs into their eyeballs instead.

You have your opinion, however I think you will find that Tony has been going for longer than Rod and is a much bigger name internationally!!

of course, it took a turning point to reach this late-career plateau, beginning in the early '90s when Gen X, inspired by an MTV campaign, suddenly branded Bennett hip. His "Steppin' Out" album scored a fluke single on the cable channel, leading to an installment of "Unplugged" that would go on to win Bennett the Grammy for Album of the Year.

Since then he has effortlessly remained in vogue, holding strong as the torchbearer of standards for several generations of performers (from Rod Stewart to Jamie Cullum) who have made a killing by dusting off classics.

Take a look at the Wikipedia entries for Tony Bennett, and Rod Stewart, and honestly say Tony Bennet has a bigger name that Rod Stewart.

The only way by Tony can be said to have a bigger name is if you count the number of letters in their names. Otherwise, in boxing terms, no contest.
