I wish Cassandra did come back She was one of my favorate characters - but without Rose i suppose that bitchy storyline has finished.

yeah but i would have thought they'd go for a 'new companion - new start' etc... so i pressume they'll be some sort of other villianess

I doubt they could find a plausible excuse to bring her back. We saw her die!!! A third outing for her/it would be pushing it.

ye and it depends when the story is set in relation to the other stories she was in

If she was going to appear again we'd have heard about it and Zoe Wanamaker's involvement long before now. There's nothing really to add to the character anyway as last time round we saw her gain some degree of redemption and then die, so I think it's highly unlikely that we'll ever see her return.

I'm more looking forward to seeing the Face of Boe himself again and not just because of his message. He's such a mystery. I hope we find out more about him before he's gone.

Cassandra's death was, in my opinion, one of the best ever DW moments!

You do know he can time travel??????? It doesn't matter that she's dead, he can just travel to an earlier point in her life. Maybe before she became Zoe Wannamaker.

Surely, the third time they meet will be after they met the second time for the Face of Boe, seeing as he can't time travel. So in that time line Cassandra is dead.
I agree that her character has nowhere left to go, but writers still find things for characters in other shows to do even though they have exhausted that character to death. In this case literally twice.

In which case she and the Doctor could never meet for the entire episode, because she didn't recognise David Tennant's Doctor when they met in New Earth.

Surely you're not suggeesting Cassandra could be DW's Kenny? Every series we could have an "Oh my God, they killed Cassandra!" episode!

In a being that's pushing possibly billions of years old I wouldn't rule anything out!

Of course that does mean that Episode 3 could turn out to be the twenty-seventh time they meet as far as the FOB is concerned, but the third time for the Doctor

Assuming the future Doctor goes back in time and meets the FOB many times between their last meeting and episode 3's.

After all, the doctor does need to spend quite some time getting intimate with FOB if FOB's four words of epic importance are:
