Sky By Wire- What happens now regarding Sky Movies??

I have been Tiscali TV/ Homechoice subscriber for the past year now, and very happy I am with the service they provide. The only thing is I am wondering how Sky Movies are now going to work, considering the changes to the way Sky Movies is set up. At the present Sky by Wire provides Sky Movies 1,3,5,7 and 9, but this is obviously going to change now the Channels are being revamped in to movie type and also a specific channel for Premiers.
I phoned up Tiscali TV customer services this morning, and they didn't know. They weren't sure as they pretty much rent the Sky by Wire channels from Sky, and so this has left me wondering. Are Sky by Wire customers going to only receive 5 of the channels and completely at random. I can't see how they are going to work it.

Even teh Sky website doesn't say yet, they still list it as movies pack 1 or 2, listing each pack as the old movie channels. If Sky haven't updated their website yet, how is anyone else gonna know whats happening!!

Yeh my guide was still calling it Sky Movies 1/3/5/7/9 but channel 9 wasnt `working`

So i reset the STB and it all changed names and 9 disappeared. I know 9 is now a HD channel on Sky, but this is piss take to expect us to pay as much as we do and NOT get another channel to replace it.

What's worse is that some premier films where shown on 1 - now there's none of the premier stuff and it looks like mostly repeats and crud.

Film4 is free and I think will be getting a lot more viewers from Tiscali viewers dumping Sky by Wire.

This can only hurt Sky in any upcoming court case with Virgin

Nothing can hurt Sky, they're very fast-footed and wily...

Apart from having a moan (which won't amount to alot), the only option you're given under the agreement is to be able to terminate your agreement without any termination fees (providing you're still within your minimum term & with 30 days notice). Other than thatm there's nowt else you can do.

I think it would be helpful if tiscali tv customers who are affected by the changes to sky by wire, contact the NCC (National Consumer Council) and lodge a complaint.

This would directly feed into the wider investigation into the paytv market, and would ensure a good outcome for all of sky's competing platforms - not just Virgin Media.
