She did an interview for the Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness mag. the headline was "How I stay so fit by Corrie Sexpot Tracy" made me want to be ill. lmao

Hmmm seems a bit odd to me that she's doing an advert to promote choccie biccies and then an interview in a diet mag about how she stays fit...almost an oxymoron

At least Dawn Acton was slightly more bearable...

yes - saw that and will never buy those biccies again.

i hear that peter gives tracey a job in the bookies. let's hope it gets held up and she is shot in the getaway or something. get rid of tracey!

I wondered when I saw her name mentioned in some messages, whether it was Tracey Barlow back on the street. Is she played by a different actress now? If so, that's a shame as I really was fond of the former actress. She was the guest at a British Show in Toronto several years ago and I had the pleasure of meeting her - she was so sweet!

Apparently Dawn Acton (the previous Tracy) was a better actress! I like Kate Ford though! (The new actress!)

They reckon that Dawn Acton applied for her job back as Tracy but the 'joker' beat her at the auditions.

But true.

I heard it also.

I don't mind the new Tracy though!

The character is one you either love or hate. For me its the latter which sort of says a lot of things about the actress. Her best scene so far was when Dierdre gave her a slap. We want more scenes like that!

Tracy is an ungrateful bitch who has no remorse for indirectly being responsible for the death of Dierdre's husband, Samir. If Tracy hadn't pumped herself full of drugs Dierdre and Samir would have settled abroad. However they returned to Weatherfield and as Dierdre sat at Tracy's bedside Samir went for a walk along the canal where he was attacked and went into a coma from which he never recovered. Which was good news for Tracy as she got his kidneys and made a full recovery. Give her another slap, Dierdre.

Yes, I agree. Tracy (the character) is portrayed as a bitch!

I hate it when they replace a character with a new actor - sometimes if it is for a child, it's understandable, but in Tracey's case, I wish they had kept Dawn Acton. However, it seems her character is playing a real b____, so maybe they thought Dawn was too nice to play the part.
As I mentioned on my previous message, we have "British Shows" here in Canada where they usually invite a soap star over to meet fans etc. Do the soap stars do similar meet and greets over there?

I like the new Tracy. I used to think she was ugly, but her looks seem to have improved now!

I don't know about Meet n Greets, but they usually get soapstars in to do sad things like open supermarkets, and switch christmas lights on and stuff like that!!!

The most recent star over here was the actress who plays Maria; so I guess when she was supposed to be in Canada, she really was!
I haven't been to any of these shows in quite a while, but previously I've met "Gail", "Mavis and Derick", and "Denise" - sorry, I can never remember their real names.

Oops - forgot to mention another whom I met - Alf Roberts (Brian Mosely).

Yes, it was quite a few years ago that these stars were over here; I don't usually go to these British shows any more; it would have to be an actor that I really liked to get me there these days (I'm not sure who that would be, actually! )
Way back in 1989 (I'm giving my old age away here! , I visited the Coronation Street set. It was really interesting, but at the time the new houses on the other side of the street weren't there yet. It would be more fun these days with all the new buildings.

I've never visited the set, but I would love to! Lucky you!

That was my first (and only) visit to the set too! - on the Granada Studios Tour!

My husband and I were the only people on the street set! We must have gone at a quiet time. We also saw a New York street set, a set with larger than life furniture, a period drama set, sherlock holmes set, and a doorway made up to look like 10 Downing Street ( had my pic taken with a bobby). We saw an old table set from the Rover's snug, Hilda and Stan's dining room set, and there was a display with Hilda's beige coat and furry hat.
It was lots of fun; would love to go again, but not too keen on air travel these days.
