Vodafone Deals
Steven L Hunter
03-04-2007
I signed up for Vodafone in November and now their offering Unlimited calls and Unlimited texts for £40 per month but its only new connections.

I feel ripped off by this and think that since i've always paid my bills on time that i should be entitled to change to that package.

Whats your opinion on this?

I don't think you should be allowed to change no. you signed a contract. you signed up to your deal for a period of time not a period of time or until something better came along.

you are required to pay your bills on time, you don't get bonus points for doing this.

as it happens though, they'll probably let you, so long as you take out a new contract from then.

The thing is though I have Virgin Media services and they let you downgrade or upgrade during your contract you just have to keep the services for 12 months. Thats what annoys me really and the fact that I cant downgrade till August (9 Months) when T-Mobile and 3 Mobile were 6 months.

Unlimited calls is only to other vodafones, its just a vodafone family group add on and not true unlimited calls. Its 500 anynet minutes on top of this.

Surely, you knew this when you signed up to the contract?

Its a bit rich to complain of being ripped off when YOU signed the contract and Vodafone have provided the service they promised. Next time do your homework first.

(I am an ex Vodafone customer because I found them expensive, so I have no reason to defend them)

I never signed a contract though as they never sent me out anything in the post.

Lol yeah i also hate how sometimes texts take ages to go through or you send them and the other person doesnt get them till about 5 hours later.

I might move back to T-Mobile or Virgin Mobile next May.

Unlimited between you and 3 other voda users, plus 500 mins to everyone else and unlimited texts. (Is it REALLY unlimited texts though, or is there a FUP in place?)

Not a bad deal though, and at time of writing, still on offer.

What did you sign up to as you can add Vodafone family for £5 for you and 3 others or £7 for you and 5 others (to share unlimited calls with).

This would not be considered a price plan downgrade it would just be you adding an additional product.

I'm on Anytime 800 with Stop The Clock & Vodafone Passport + 1000 Texts for £50 a month.

I would really only consider Vodaofne Passport if I was able to downgrade my plan first as i bascially have unlimited minutes as it is

Most peopl I know are on T-Mobile so it doesnt help either.
