Sony will release LCD tv's with HD tuners if there is HD on freeview. all quite good i think

Somehow I can't see any manufacturer offering a UK model with a tuner capable of receiving as yet unspecified (broadcaster/channel or spec) HD service via a very unlikely national DTT network anytime soon.

Now if they said they were looking at the US models which have the ATSC standard to work from for SD and HD tuning and applying the same ideas to UK models then fine but anything claiming HD DTT reception inbuilt is a bit of a marketing leap, assuming it's a legit SONY quote.
